Tokugawa Japan Steakhouse Sushi & Bar

The restaurant was clean and well lit. Staff was friendly and attentive, even on a busy Saturday evening. The showmanship from our table chef was great, very entertaining. And the food, it was amazing! Tender steak, delicious shrimp, and scallops. The vegetables were fresh and plentiful as well. The clear soup and salad reminded me of the Samurai restaurant downtown when I was a kid, fantastic starters. 10/10 will be back, and we'll never make the drive over to dark, dirty Benihana again.

My family had an absolute blast. This is a very very nice looking restaurant with the Japanese hibachi grills everywhere. The show was absolutely amazing. The food was even better. We simply enjoy going there for more than just a nice meal. It's great entertainment. I definitely recommend that you check this place out. We spent about $140 on the four of us.

Delish food in a really wonderful atmosphere, with reasonable prices. I had the vegetarian yakisoba. There were ample vegetables, and the flavor was really hearty. There was a certain grilled quality to it which tasted wonderful. Serving size was enormous so I brought home another meal worth of the main dish. I took off one star for food because I guess I reserve five star for something super special. This was very tasty though. I took off one star for service because although our server was kind and attentive, he made a bad assumption that I wanted chicken broth instead of miso soup. Didn’t even ask. And chicken broth wasn’t even listed on the menu so I was not expecting it and didn’t want it. The miso soup, when I did get it , was tasty but somewhat lukewarm. I had really been looking forward to a nice hot bowl of soup. Other than those minor details, will definitely come back and eat here again.

Went to this place instead of our usual Hibachi Masters in Anderson/Beechmont Ave because prices listed online were cheaper (and HM charged is for extra yum yum when we were asking for it with our meal 🙄) Actual prices similar to HM. I LOVED everything about this place, nice and bright, friendly staff and funny cooks! Full flavored miso soup, my husband didn't like the ginger salad dressing as much here, OR the yum yum sauce... but we will for sure be back!
