Great food with plenty of tasty food. Had the fish fry dinner and steak w/ crab cakes dinner. We enjoyed everything and had plenty to take home. Waitress, Christina, was so very nice and friendly.

We are repeat customers! Food is great! Good sized meal portions! Great waitress! Crab wrap, Bang Bang Shrimp, Crab cake sandwich, Asian Salad with shrimp was very good! Cheesecake tortilla and Apple Fritter were so delicious and huge!!! Good prices! We will be back!!!

I enjoy dining at Balch's. The owner grows and uses the freshest veggies and herbs.
For the Octoberfest, I ordered the
Weiner schnitzel. My experience with this dish in Germany was that it was made with veal. I was surprised that the chef uses pork. I was also surprised that the menu did not include bratwurst. Otherwise, I think they do a fine job pleasing the customer.

Great food and service. Had the haddock and mashed that was awesome. Spouse had the crab cakes which was also excellent. The Manhattan clam chowder was also great !Cozy atmosphere. Will definitely come again!

Balch's is still the one restaurant that is consistently good. We have been going there since it opened. Food portions are very generous. Service is also very good. Happy that they finally put down hardwood floors in place of the rugs. You will enjoy this restaurant.

The side dishes were especially great! The side of rice medley I got was huge! And really good! And the side of pasta was equally huge and hearty. My main dish - the clam strips meal - was good and an ample portion. Nothing served was fancy or incredible or exquisite, but everything was good and filling. The servers were all friendly and happy.

Balch's is a cute local eatery. Grace was our friendly helpful server. The Wednesday special was baked haddock, sweet potato fries, and mixed greens salad with feta, craisins, and walnuts. It was so good! Dessert was even better. I had chocolate chip cookie dough brownie with peanut butter. It was a delightful meal! Highly recommend.

We really like the food here. It's consistently good. It's Oktoberfest all month of October, and their menu doesn't disappoint. I didn't give it 5 stars because it smells like dirty carpet inside. Needs a major interior update. UPDATE 3/22 They cleaned the carpets so it smells much cleaner inside. But honestly, it's all about the delicious food there! It's always great!!
