Resto Modena

My family and I went to Modena tonight for dinner and it was absolutely amazing! The service was great - our waiter was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food is DELICIOUS. The portions are quite large and we were expecting to have leftovers, but we all cleared our plates since it tasted so good... I will be returning here next time I am in Montreal!

Great restaurant with excellent service! The arancini was delicious, the calamari was tender, the pasta and the pizza were also very good! The tomato sauce was one of the best we have ever had. Although we are from Montreal and have many Italian restaurant options, we happened to be in La Prairie and decided to eat at Restaurant Modena. We were pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of the staff, owner and great food! We will definitely be going back!

Absolutely Amazing! The service was great, and the entire staff was super nice and friendly. The food was the best Italian food I’ve had while in Montreal, everything tasted amazing. The atmosphere was calming and welcoming, and overall I would strongly recommend! Skip the other Italian restaurants in the area and come strait to Modena, it will without a doubt have the best food!

The restaurant only opened a few months ago, but the service and food quality are most impressive. Our waitress was delightful and fast although there were many guests. The food was exquiste, the arancini and lasagna among the best I've had. Add to that a complete bar menu and dessert, what else do you want? Prices were reasonable, and the location on Rue St. Paul is perfect. Highly recommended!

This place was terrible. Ambiance was that of a restaurant that is not loved. Menus were stacked on top of the unused bar (which was the only bar in the restaurant) and oddly enough had customers sitting at it eating (with a stack of about 15 menus next to them)... As we were being sat down we were being warned by waiter and (manager?) that the service would be slow since they were full... anyone with 1 eye could see they were not full. True to their word, the service was awful. Took an hour to get two bowls of pasta (the same dish, might I add). Drinks were awful, I am pretty sure I was drinking cranberry syrup with my vodka. Only redeeming factor was the food was actually delicious... when it finally got to us. Even still, that wont be enough for us to go back. For all the restaurants in the Old Port of Montreal, we were very unlucky to land on this one.
