Paying extra for a chips/salsa refill is kind of sad, but the Mexican food is very good here.
Los Portales is solid Mexican food in the area. They are inexpensive compared to other food options in the area. I’ve tried the Los Portales Super Burrito and Margarita. The wet-style burrito was delicious and filling— yes, loaded with meat. The sauce seemed tomato-based and had a slight kick of spice.
The menu was extensive and it was hard to choose. I was happy with the burrito and margarita. There is one complimentary basket of chips and salsa. The downside is having to pay for a refill of chips!
They are family oriented and the service is great. Parking is very easy in the lot as it’s in a nearly abandoned plaza.

I was visiting for the first time and really enjoyed the service. Everyone was friendly, the food came quickly, and the prices were absolutely reasonable. I enjoyed Sara's Enchiladas and can wholeheartedly recommend them!

Wonderful food! The Sara platter and the Camarones A La Diabla are great. I highly recommend this place and will alway eat here when I’m in town! The staff is super nice and accommodating, beer is cold and the Michilada’s are on point.

Today I worked hard, and I knew I would not cook. I stopped in for dinner, and it was exactly what I needed. I had chicken fajitas and a margarita. It was just right. I really admire the owners and staff for working during the pandemic so people could eat out. Their hard work and family atmosphere is apparent.

I loved this restaurant. First time eating here. In town for a concert. The food was so good I ordered an extra plate just to try. The pork and nopales was amazing. The restrooms were so clean. Love this family owned restaurant.

It is good mexican food. I wouldnt necessarily go out of my way to go to it. The only reason I give it a four is the seating. They sat our party of 6 at a four person table and there were about 10 other empty tables and three other groups of customers. It made for an uncomfortable lunch and we ordered less because of it.

The food is delicioso! I had chicken enchilada and a Chile Relleno. Both were excellent, tasty, and cheesy. Rice, beans, and cole slaw were also very good. My friend ordered steak a la mexicana and really liked it. Treat yourself to the Churros with a scoop of ice cream. Service was very good.
