Review Date 24.12.2023 Really loved the place and the food. Had an amazing lunch and the food was really great. Thanks to the team for accommodating us quickly with minimal waiting. Truly deserved to be among top 5 restaurants in India. Review Date 18.11.2017 Nice place to hangout but you will place only if you are a couple. Male friend is not preferred by them. Kept me and friend waiting for 45 mins but gave seating to couples or families.

Love the ambience, love the service and just the right amount of attention. The food - some of it is let's-not-talk-just-eat delicious. Some of it, though, could be improved. I also do wish the portions were a little larger. The Barley salad is superlative. It's light and fresh on the tongue. As is the chilled seabass sev puri (this one was my favourite out of everything, I think). This was light, fresh, flavourful and different. They didnt have the squid so we missed that, but the Bone Marrow Naan chaap...oh. my. God. Tender and deliciously flavourful. I change my favourite to this one. The Butter Garlic Crab Kulcha that we ate was....ummm...so so. Why? Coz the Kulcha was baked too hard and I could barely taste the crab. We also ate the Prawn Malai Curry Tiffin Box, that comes in a bona-fide tiffin box. Two of us loved it, one of us didn't, so I'll reserve comments on this one except that I really enjoyed the flavours. We ate Begun's baked brie, but I have to confess...it was too sharp for my taste buds. I've had better Baked Brie ... Overall, would I go here again? Absolutely! Should you? For sure!

Delicious food. Friendly staff. They innovate / try something new with each dish. The menu is just the right size because with these dishes we ordered, we felt like we overall got a good idea of what they offer. We only ordered vegetarian food but didn’t feel like the options were less or we missed out on too much. The dishes are: Summer Greens Patta Chaat, Begum’s Baked Brie, Corn Locho, Baingan Bharta Kulcha, Gutti Aloo Roast with pav, and Coffee Rasgulla Sundae. Corn Locho is the most unique and amazing thing I’ve ever tasted. The portions are small for the price but it works out in the sense of getting to try more dishes. They have a nice array of cocktails and will make you something based on what you like. Their guava infused gin is also a must try. Have visited The Bombay Canteen twice now and will do so every time I come to Mumbai.

I am a believer in food fusion. Bombay Canteen brings forward some of the best combinations, which are scintillating for taste buds. Even classical dishes like seekh kebab were very well done. Their strength is in sauces & curry gravies, which are mild, not overwhelming. The ambience of the place is detailed, a bit old school, and comforting overall. Servers were knowledgeable about all fusions and were warm. My only grudge is that lack of fulfilling plates in starters. I hate when I have to order 4 items to feel filled. Would recommend this place for exploring.

Great selection of dishes specifically curated by the chef's by traveling across the country. The small plates that we tried were bursting with flavours. And the drinks were perfect. The only thing lacking was the service which can be improved. The staff was very busy so you had to wait for quiet sometime to actually place an order or request for change of plates.

Phenomenal experience! The lamb chops was simply fantastic. The other items worth trying were the fried dosa and the dal makhni! For drinks we had makers mark old fashioned.. Ameya, was the person who served us and his sevice and knowledge of the menu was simply great. All kn all - a must visit place
