The experience was Wow. Just Wow.. Authentic South India. Idlis from different States are too good & they have started Fusion too. Their New age Idlis are terrific. Superb Food Quality. Formally was just Cafe Vihar. Had a Paper Masala Dosa in 1986 here. Now even after so many years in 2023 the Quality stays with impeccable service.

Who else loves simple but tasty South Indian food..another hidden gem in Chowpatty must try if you want a simple good food. The rassam won my heart here. Dont miss it. Piping hot idlis the easiest and fastest solution for the hunger while amazing taste. No South Indian meal is complete with Dosa. Here also the dosa is the winner. They have a great variety and spread definitely will go back for more.

The decor featured beautiful artwork depicting South Indian culture, and the soft lighting created a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Service: The service was excellent from the moment I stepped in. The staff greeted me with a friendly smile and promptly seated me. They were well-versed with the menu and happily answered my questions about various dishes. Throughout the meal, they were attentive and ensured that everything was to my liking. Food and Beverages: The menu boasted an array of South Indian delicacies, and I opted to try some classic favorites along with a few recommendations from the staff. The dosas were simply divine – thin, crispy, and filled with flavorful masala, they transported me back to the bustling streets of South India. The idlis were soft and spongy, served with an assortment of chutneys that perfectly complemented their taste. One standout dish was the spicy and aromatic Chettinad chicken curry, which was bursting with flavors and left me craving for more. The sambar and rasam were authentic and provided a delightful balance of tangy and spicy notes. As for beverages, the restaurant served refreshing coconut water and a variety of fresh fruit juices, which were a perfect accompaniment to the flavorful dishes.

Nice and hygienic place. Tried their Thailaiva idli and chettinad idli. Loved both of them. Had the malabari curry with malabari parotta too and it was great. At the end we had the kapi (coffee) ice-cream and I definitely recommend trying it out. The service was slow and the staff was not at all attentive.
