Yet another fantastic experience at Avakaya. Came here after almost a year. We were looking for a change in food and thought of Avakaya. Had Paneer 65, Veg Schezwan Noodles, Andhra Kodi Iguru (Chicken Curry), Malabari Parotha and Putharekulu for a sweet dish. Each of these was an awesome dish. Happy to come back here.

This is a hidden gem if you are willing to indulge in some mind blowing andhra style food. Each and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff is humble and the dishes are also priced well. All in all a very good place to have absolutely yummy food 💕

Recently visited this place which is simple yet elegant.
The place serves some authentic Andhra and North Indian cuisine.
We tried their aratikaya bhaji which is a stuffed raw banana bhaji and paneer 65
Both the appetizers were mind blowing.
Then in mains we had their Andhra biryani which was a perfect blend of spices.
The taste was amazing and was accompanied by Raita
In the desert we tried their paruppu payasam which is a moong dal payasam and must try their dessert.
In drinks we had their gateway sunrise and blue magic both were too good
Overall I loved the place 😄

1 thali is enough for 1person. taste was upto the mark. This was my best experience with Andhra food. Really enjoy the food ✌️

Finding a restaurant which serves authentic Mangalorean and Andhara food is a task in Mumbai!
The cuisine for one is very underrated and hasn't touched the palate of many yet!
The journey of finding good andhara food got to the doors of Aavakay
Aavakay , in thakur village has an expansive menu but I loved their south Indian offerings!
They really had everything from Chicken 65 to Gassis to Kori rotis! All the delicacies from the south!
The ambience of the place is pretty average like any other multicuisine restaurant nothing fancy but the food makes up for it , they even had TVs streaming sporting event
We had
Guava Mary
The best mocktail to have when you are not in the mood for adventure, the Guava juice was paired up with a coat of chilli on the tip of the glass giving it a spicy punch with every Sip, Decent presentation as well! No brainer if you like Guava
Chicken Gassi with Neer Dosa
Neer dosa with a gassi is a pair made in heaven , I'll be honest and say I prefer my meat in the gassi to be prawns but the chicken gassi served here was delicious as well , the consistency was nice , not very thick but appropriately moist! The gassi with curry leaves and their rich preparation is one hell of a gravy
Andhara Pepper Chicken
If you live spice this is your cue , the chicken which was fried was blasted with pepper , me being a spicy food lover enjoyed it but I wouldn't recommend it to everyone! The chicken is served in bite size pieces and a great starter to go with your drinks!
Chukka Chicken Biryani
We ended our meal with biryani , the chukka chicken is a preparation made with caramelized onions , curry leaves , ginger and garlic! The biryani was on the spicier side due to the chicken chukka but I really loved it!
The place is really a south Indian delicacies magnet , you should definitely try it if you haven't tried this cuisine! If you love spicy food you should definitely speed up your visit!

Aavakay - A Gastronomic Delight in Kandivali Thakur Village
Nestled in the heart of Kandivali Thakur Village, a mere 5-minute drive from Magathane Metro Station, Aavakay is a hidden gem that promises a delightful culinary experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a lovely and aesthetic ambiance that set the stage for an unforgettable dining adventure.
As we settled into our seats, we eagerly perused the menu, excited to explore the array of flavors awaiting us. To kick-start our gastronomic journey, we decided to indulge in the Paneer 65 and Aloo Wada as our starters. The Paneer 65 was a burst of tangy and spicy flavors, perfectly complemented by the tender texture of the paneer. The Aloo Wada, with its golden and crispy exterior, revealed a fluffy and flavorful potato filling. It was a fantastic beginning to our meal.
Moving on to the main course, we opted for a combination of Parotha and Phulka Roti, accompanied by a mouthwatering vegetable-stuffed sabji. The sabji was a true masterpiece, brimming with a medley of fresh and aromatic vegetables. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavors, highlighting the chef's expertise in creating harmonious blends. The breads, both the soft Parotha and the light and fluffy Phulka Roti, were the perfect accompaniments, allowing us to savor every morsel of the delicious sabji.
To complement our meal, we decided to explore the mocktail menu. The Gateway Sunrise, a vibrant concoction of tangy orange and refreshing pineapple, provided a burst of tropical flavors that invigorated our palates. The Blue Lagoon, with its mesmerizing turquoise hue and zesty notes of lemon and mint, was a revitalizing and cooling delight. These mocktails were the perfect companions, balancing and enhancing the flavors of our meal.
As our culinary journey approached its sweet conclusion, we couldn't resist the allure of Paramannam, a traditional dessert. The Paramannam, a creamy rice and jaggery-based delicacy, was served with a sprinkle of aromatic cardamom. Each spoonful was a luscious blend of sweetness and warmth, leaving a lingering taste that satisfied our cravings for a perfect ending.
Beyond the scrumptious food, I must commend the impeccable service provided by Mr. Shinde, our gracious and attentive server. He effortlessly guided us through the menu, offering valuable recommendations and ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. His warmth, professionalism, and genuine care enhanced our overall experience at Aavakay.
In conclusion, Aavakay is a culinary haven that deserves accolades for its lovely ambiance, delectable food, generous portions, and outstanding service. Whether you're a food enthusiast craving an explosion of flavors or someone seeking a cozy and inviting atmosphere, Aavakay will exceed your expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this gastronomic haven in Kandivali Thakur Village. Prepare to be captivated by the flavors, aromas, and experiences that await you at Aavakay.
