The place is located at 3rd floor of Rcity mall, just opposite to Kidzania. We went to the restaurant for a farewell party on our office friend. This place is no like a normal restaurants, it's kind of activity place with lot of fun around. It's pay once eat all u can restaurant. Starters and chat is served on table. The place has counters for Pani Puri, Ice gola, Dessert, Dosa, Chinese and of course Rajasthani and north indian food. Overall a lovely place! And would recommend everyone...

It is an inimitable buffet experience with a spread of enjoyable traditional Indian dishes. The dishes are encouraged by different provinces of Indian states, the mood changes for every section they have. It serves Rajasthani, Punjabi, Gujarathi, South Indian and Chinese. They have number of live counters, you cannot miss the Bombay chaat, pav bhaji, dosa, etc. I felt that i was taken to the breath taking place in an instant and felt greater sense of connect with the food. The comfort played a vital role during my visit. The hospitality of the restaurant was great. Walking into a restaurant full of space makes you feel good. The sitting arrangement was contented, perfectly adjusted lights created a certain mood. It is truly the soul of India. And here comes the best part which is entertainment for everyone– They have got dhol, bhangra, garba, puppet shows, games and loads of fun for your group of friends or your entire family. We were thrilled with the experience; me and my friend enjoyed it a lot. It’s a fun place for the entire family but with vegetarian food and no alcohol but trust me I enjoyed it alot. Thabks to the great staff. They made sure to give a comfortable experience by their sense of humour and great hospitality. Below are the different counters we experienced: We were welcomed with Nimboo Sarbat and buttermilk with chats like pani puri, dahi puri and sev puri, Corn chaat, dahi papdi, dhokla. 1)Theka – Served buttermilk, 5-6 six flavours of golas (pineapple, kala Khatta, mango etc.), Although the soda was missing. 2)Rasoi ki shaan – Served Paneer Laziz, Tandoori Aloo, Veg biryani, dal tadka, Sindhi kadhi, Khichu rice, etc. 3)Papad and salad were also available. 4)Chinese – Fried rice, Manchurian, hakka noddles, Manchurian Soup. 5)Anna ka tawa – Dosa (Sada/Masala/Cheese) with Sambhar. 6)Bachpan ki yadein – Pop corn, candy floss. 7)Roti – Tandoori, missi, Paratha – lacha, naan – garlic. 9)Meetha – Aamras, Ice Cream, gulan jamun, coconut Wadi, Everything was delicious and we had no complaints at all. A must visit. Happy eating : )

Village - The Soul of India is a place that is known for its ambience. I sure love a place with a different, desi theme, that is such a good deviation from the usual fine dine restaurants that we see around us. So when I went for a shopping spree at R City mall recently, I decided to have dinner here before heading back home. It was a Sunday night and there was a birthday party going on. Needless to say, the DJ music was on in full volume to cater to a group of enthusiastic dancing people attending the party. My friends and I found a spot farthest from the party zone (which was right at the entrance of the restaurant), but still couldn't escape the loudness of the songs blaring from the music system there. I guess, that's the rustic party style :) We started our dinner with a couple of beverages. The buttermilk was nice but the vanilla milkshake that they served was too sweet for my liking. They then served some orange sharbat which I liked, because they didn't overdo the syrup. As for appetisers, I liked a couple of corn-based dishes, especially the sweet corn chaat. The balance of chaat masala and the lemon juice in that was just right. We also got their cheese dosa, which I didn't like because of the quality of the cheese that they used. I expected the molten creamy one, and instead got the stringy grated one that doesn't melt properly no matter how high the heat is. For mains, I kept it simple and just went for their daal khichdi and paneer butter masala. Both the dishes were well made, especially the khichdi. I went for a second helping of that one :) I also tried a bit of their manchurian soup with chopsuey and absolutely loved that too. To finish off the meal, we had their gola and aamras. The gola could have been a bit bigger, and some chaat masala to balance the sweet syrup would have been good. The aamras however, was perfect and I would recommend that you try it while mangoes are still in season. A special mention to our table attendant, Videsh. His service was absolutely spot on - polite and quick to take and deliver on our requests. Thank you! Overall, Village is a great place for a loud family gathering and if you want a break from the routine restaurant experiences.m0re

Village - the soul of India is located in R-City mall in the food court next to love and latte. The Ambiance is village like and it is spacious. Coming to Food and drinks - Welcome drinks - Refreshing drinks available at the counter like nimbu pani, panha, etc. There's a chaat counter where you'll get pani puri, ragda puri, etc. It tasted good but the quantity was less. There's dosa counter and Chinese counters where you can choose from a variety of options and place your order. The taste was average. There's buffet spread in the main course where you'll experience varieties of food from Dal baati churma to Paneer makhani. Some of the items were good while some of them did not tasted good. Finally, there's dessert counter where you will get 4-5 types of Desserts, Aamras being on the top while the season lasts. It was overall a good experience with the service and the Ambiance but the food should be improvised in taste. It's a perfect place for a big family party and office group lunch.

This place was marked on my to-do list as one of my friend lauded a lot about its ambiance and food. I will surely give a 5+ for the ambiance part and even a perfect 5/5 for food and service too... As we sat on table a guy in desi outfit came up with Nimbu Pani, well there is gola counter as well... (Summer Essential) After that we were served with different desi appetizers- sevpuri, dhokla, Manchurian, corn and 3types of bhajiyas. Main course has got wide range of varieties which includes indian as well as Chinese, both the cuisines were really great. Desserts is something you must not miss out here- aamras, gulab jamun and moongdaal halwa is what I tried.

This is a very nice place if you want to have variety of cuisines for dinner. It includes Chat, Chinese, Rajasthani, Maharashtrian also sweet dishes from bengal and many other regional dishes. There is variety from starter upto desserts. This hotel gives same feeling as eating in a village dhaba with great decor. I lived the way they serve starters, a man carries all the starters like a vendor and you can request him to serve. They also have cultural or folk performances at fixed time and also a puppet show for entertainment. I enjoyed paneer starter, pani puri, dosa, tawa rice, ice gola, gulab jamun and jalebi. Nice place to throw a party. Review summary Ambience - 8/10 Food - 9/10 Service - 9/10 Cost - 570/- per head
