Alka Vihar is been serving maladkars for ages. It's ambience and interior remains the same with a few changes. The food is decent and portion size is amazing.

And Punjabi is also good
The must try is club sandwich
They now have a different menu for continental dishes
My personal favourite is white sauce penne pasta
For dessert you can have their Sunday's which consist of icecream jelly and fruits
And in morning you can try their pineapple sheera
They have added menu of now Italian and Mexican
Their sizzlers is a must try

It is one of my favourite restaurants for South Indian breakfast. The Sambar and Chutney that they serve is exactly what i expect from these dishes super delicious. Dosas are super crispy and filling. Vada and Idli are melt in mouth and very tasty.

Amazing taste of paneer sikh sabji.. proper tandoor grilled.. with pav bhaji.. decent ambiance.. best part is staff are very polite and cherish natured which gives food a amazing vibe.. budget pure veg restaurant always I would like to visit..

The restaurant is located on SV Road and there are high chances you may get stuck in traffic while getting there.
However, once there, it's all worth it. The food is delicious and the service is prompt.
We ordered Idli-Sambhar, Tea, Pav bhaji, Burnt Garlic Noodles and Gadbad for dessert.
The Pav bhaji, Burnt Garlic Noodles and Gadbad deserve a special mention. Highly recommended!
Tea at Rs.50/- a cup seemed overpriced and the only thing that ended up being disappointing!

Good and very old place for Veg. dishes near Malad west Railway Station. It has variety of dishes. Quality and quantity is good over here.

Nice vegetarian restaurant. Good food. Tried South Indian foods like Idly Vada, Rava dosa, Masala dosa and also Punjabi Thali. All tastes really good. They also serve Italian and mexican cuisines, but I didn't try it. On the whole, good place for Vegetarian food in Malad.

I liked this place because I helped myself one day to sumptuous Punjabi meal, as you can see in the attached photo. So if you are around the Goregaon, Malad area, and you have an elephant's s appetite, you can try Alka Vihar.
