Great, iconic seafood restaurant in Harahan. Usually crowded for a reason - the food and service here are excellent. I got the fried trout, it was perfect. I’ve had a few dishes here over the years and I’ve never been disappointed.

Another great local neighborhood restaurant in the greater New Orleans area! We've eaten here three times and always enjoyed it. I've had the oyster poor boy it was yummy! They're boiled. Classic New Orleans seafood served in a neighborhood style restaurant. The boiled seafood is perfect. We had Large Crabs and Boiled Shrimp….Perfect. We tried the bucket: King Crab Legs, Shrimp, Corn & Potatoes. Exceptional! Grilled Redfish and Crawfish sauce was amazing! From Metairie it’s a short drive and well Worth it!

Got shrimp Po-Boys to go and they were great. Tons of shrimp on the poboy and the bread was really good. I want to go and eat in the restaurant. Big bins of cooked crabs and you and buy them by the each which is nice. Fun atmosphere and everyone was nice.

My son & his wife took me here for dinner last night. It was busy but we got a table fast. Atmosphere was noisy, but that's ok. Food was Awesome! Except the oysters appetizer... oysters were Super Salty so couldn't enjoy them (that's why 4 stars on food). I got the seafood steamed bucket for dinner. OMG! It was DELICIOUS! I have enough left overs for 2 more meals. I can't wait to go back there again!!! Oh! Service was excellent, too.

I rated this four out of five because I have to be really blown away to give out five stars. We had lunch there, and it was busy. Even so, the service was good. I wish there were more grilled options for fish/seafood rather than primarily fried. I had salad with fried shrimp, and it was very good.

I had the seafood platter. That was the best stuffed crab I've had in a long time. So enjoyed the garlic as opposed to just buttered toast. A lot of good food. A very pleasant experience.

Loved the food! I ordered the black and gold, which was really good redfish. While I'm not usually a fan of fried foods, I got to try some of the fried appetizers and they were delicious. The service was fast and attentive, and an added bonus—they are one of the only places in the area with glass Dr. Pepper readily available! If you enjoy fried seafood, love a cozy environment with good service, or need somewhere to eat in Harahan, Charles Seafood is for you!

Charles Seafood is the best place to eat. The workers were very friendly n polite. If u are around the neighborhood. Stop by. Open Tuesday - Saturday. Close on Sunday n Monday. I approve this message. One LoVe 💚🙊🙉🙈
