On Ice

Went today (June 29th), and while the ice cream was okay just about everything else sucked. It took a minute to get the ice cream but nothing ridiculous, the reason for the one star was the group of people that went behind the counter that weren’t working and started making stuff for themselves. Now they were nice people but it’s not professional and that happening makes me question how clean it can be. Wish it was better because I took my family. Also man that was working had a shirt that had a few words that weren’t appropriate in any way. You’ll save time and energy just going to Dairy Queen. Hope it gets better because ice cream was very interesting.

I conflated “NICEcream” with their “NICEd sundaes” - they are VERY different. The NICED sundaes remind me of the astronaut ice cream you have as a kid - novel and fun for our toddler, but did not enjoy as the adults! I don’t suggest the blueberry shaved ice - tasted more like bubblegum. Staff was awesome, ambience is awesome, with a perfect toddler sized picnic table out front - hoping to go back and try some different menu items that we might like better.

Went for ice cream. Never been before even though I live in Norfolk. Two young men were working behind the counter and complaining that they had to be out there by 10 o'clock even though it was only 9. There was a lobby full of customers and everybody could hear them. I tried to give them my order but they were complaining to each other not knowing what the ice cream flavor I was asking for was even though it was on the menu.. Continuously complaining to each other about how nothing was labeled and they didn't have enough ice cream .....not talking to me at all. One of the employees walked out and said he wasn't coming back. We felt uncomfortable so we left and didn't even get any food.
