Broderick Dining Commons

Terrible staff and semi-terrible food. Most of the workers here have never seen a smile in their life. Came to campus to visit my daughter and explore the campus. Never have I seen a colder and disorganized staff. Beginning with the front desk, I was "welcomed" with an aggressive grunt followed by a rude remark when I mentioned I'd be paying with my credit card. After this unwelcoming interaction, I made my way to one of the food stands. I was shocked by the apparent lack of knowledge in what was being served. The cafeteria server claimed that she did not know if she was serving beef or turkey (she was serving pork). Additionally, for a school that prides itself in accommodations. This food court has all but nothing available for those with dietary restrictions. I understand COVID has been hard, but advertisements should be changed if only 1/2 the food court is operational. The vegan section, "Rice Sticks" section, and "chiefs section" is unoperational and labeled "coming soon." To add insult to injury, the employees were aggressive and discouraging when asking about allergy options given the limited selection. If you are paying for anything other than a quick bite, I would avoid Broderick Dining Commons.

I came in to eat in the evening on a Saturday, and the food was not that great. Some things on the menu were dried, cold...not made fresh. The staff was excellent!! A bit pricey for the quality, I wondered if I came in during the day on a busy weekday if things would have been fresher. The redeeming quality is the Vegan Oatmeal Raisin cookies...you gotta try them, they are outstanding!!
