Fatboys Southern Smokehouse

We were wondering about bringing our kids to this restaurant at first due to its biker bar styled appearance ...but we are glad we did! The staff there made the kids feel special and gave us some great recommendations for dinner. I usually come to smokehouses for the brisket but the chicken was the real home run here! Their house BBQ sauce made it that much better. We will be back!

Post restrictions update: met the owner, Shawn, who is passionate (and awesome) about his place. New addition; a speakeasy area dedicated for private events. Great idea, and creates a better atmosphere for regular patrons. Shawn gave us a mini tour and a treat at the end, for a memorable experience. Good place for BBQ in the area. Beef brisket: consistently good and would recommend it over the rest of the items. Baked beans: a solid choice as well, has bits of brisket mixed in. Corn bread: a nice crust and soft/sweet in the middle, addictive. Mac and cheese: creamy, though might be just “cheese sauce”. Ribs: dry rub and is good, though no baby back option. Fries: decent. Chicken: appears on the dry side. Thursday all you can eat ribs is a great value.

Amazing pulled pork.. succulent and full of flavor! Great sides.. we tried the fried corn on the cob.. very tasty! Will definitely make a regular place to dine! Love the water faucets in the bathrooms! Mini.motorcycle! The entire restaurant is very clean and inviting. Also they have a very cheerful, knowledgeable staff! Great find!

Shawn and his team recently catered our event for 40 people. WOW!!!! Amazing service from start to finish. Shawn had wonderful ideas on presentation, and you could tell the passion he has for his food while speaking with him. Day of, everything arrived, well packed, labeled, and the perfect temperature. The food was on point. The BBQ was amazing. The sauces were fantastic. GO to this place to eat!!!!

Amazing place with great staff. Friend told me to visit this place while in Ottawa. Amazing ribs comparable to state of Kentucky which is not easy to pull off as they are one of the top state in the USA for ribs. I also love that you can choose which sauce you want as they have three different bottles at the table.

I came to Fatboys for dinner with my dad yesterday evening and we were both absolutely blown away by the food. It was absolutely delicious. The service though was on a whole other level. Our server was extremely polite and attentive, yet not too invasive, which is exactly what I like. I also have to mention that the service is REALLY FAST. We were in and out in less than 40 minutes, on a beautiful Friday evening. My only little disappointment was that my delicious vanilla milkshake was served in a disposable plastic cup instead of a reusable cup, despite the fact that we ate in. Overall, fantastic experience. I will be returning!
