Worst lamb stew I've eaten. Lots of chicken broth, 3 small chunks of tough lamb, and a meager amount of potatoes and carrots. They didnt boil the water for tea. The bread pudding was flavorless - no discernable whiskey in the sauce. The ale was good as was the jambalaya. Service was fine, but it was telling that the waiter didn't ask us how we liked the food. I'd recommend coming here for beer and darts.

I was torn between 2 and 3 stars for this. We went on a Sunday night for dinner and were one of two occupied tables. We learned the hard way this is a bar that serves food, not a restaurant as we thought. The service was slow and rude. The food was the somewhat redeeming quality that earned this place 3 stars. The food came out at a reasonable speed and was decent to good in quality. All in all I don't see me going back. It might be better as a bar as it clearly looks like an Irish bar.

My husband and I went here recently cause we were in the area and decided to give it a test run. The first thing that struck me as strange was the overpowering smell of bleach as you entered the place. Granted this was early in the day (lunch) and I figured that they had maybe cleaned just recently, but that's a lot of bleach if you can tell it's bleach. The music in the place was some weird 90's hard rock - which didn't really jive with the imagery they gave with their sign and namesake - it's great music if you want to power through cleaning your car out, but not really food mood music. My husband got the Etoufee, I had the Guinness stew. The only way I can describe the food here is it is having an identity crisis. Their menu does not go into much detail to describe the flavors of the meals they are serving and thus leaves you to assumptions(i.e. - "herbs" was used a lot, instead of detailing what herbs exactly are in the item...). When I had ordered the Guinness stew, I figured a savory Irish feeling stew. Instead I was left picking at a dish that in our opinion tasted more like an Italian soup without any hint of Guinness richness to it. We also ordered a side of the corn bread which was incredibly lackluster and to be frank was disgusting. There was corn in the bread, but it was flavorless for the most part and tasted over boiled/frozen otherwise. I have never been so repulsed by a bread before. We had a coffee with Irish cream brought to us, and the waitress informed us that the price had been changed on that particular item from about $3 to $6. We went for it anyway imagining that it must be a damn good coffee at such a price. It was unimpressive in flavor or richness and was barely 8oz. - my husband compared it to crappy diner coffee, just in a fancy glass mug. The food is edible. The flavors are not what you expect from the names of certain items and thus feels confusing when eating them. My husband said the Etoufee was okay, but by no means mind blowing or enticing enough to usher him back ever again. The waitress was nice - seemed a bit concerned when we didn't seem to enjoy the cornbread, but I didn't want to start anything so just didn't eat it. She was very quiet and cautious - which to a certain degree makes me believe that this is somewhat of a common place occurrence with the food. We have struck this place off our list of eateries around town. Can't speak to the bar scene side of it since we're not huge bar goers.

Interior nice, food good, beer very good. Parties of six or more have to be on one check, and happy hour prices only apply to customers sitting at the bar. Sadly, our weekly group of six to nine will meet at Mahoney's instead.

Used to be one of my favorites. Their jambalaya is good, but they've raised the prices several times and the portions have gotten smaller. They used to have a mug club, but I'm not sure if that's even there anymore.

Best corned beef and cabbage I've ever had, every time! Friendly service and great music if you like 60s thru 90s rock and blues (I love it).

Quiet for lunch, but a good place to meet up for small groups. Friendly ownership/waitstaff, and the food is better than your average bar (think pub food).
