Gyro World

I came in to get a traditional Gyero, all the employees (3) were sitting in the booth eating and literally all the tables were dirty. I almost walked out! I got my gyro and the tomatoes were old and soggy. After waiting for 5 minutes for the tomatoes I went up and ask for my money back. I walked out I will never come back here again!

Yes, it is a hole-in-a-wall and the decor maybe last century, but food -- the food is so Greek! The staff speaks Greek and music in the back is Greek, which themself are recommendations. The food was a little bit salty for me, but I do not like salt very much. Otherwise -- wow, my taste buds cried "Opah!" Tzaziki was the real stuff. Very nice service and many locals coming for lunch. I ate the gyro salad, filling and tasty. Prices a tiny bit more than average, but very well worth it, and you get a very satisfying meal. Order tea or coffee, water tastes like it is from a faucet. I will be coming here again even if I have to drive from Bellevue. It is not all that easy to find, so look next door to a famous pizza chain pizzeria. The strip mall has other *excellent* restaurants as well, so come back often -- you will be glad you did, whether for a quick bite, a sit down lunch or dinner -- you will find good food in this mall and a treat at Gyro World. Opah!

Their food is OK, service is good, but the food for my taste is just so so. The falafel I had was over cooked and dry, the gyro meat was kind of mealy, and the baklava had no honey flavor (I don't need it dripping with honey, though I like that, but I want to at least taste some honey... Made me wonder if it was just plain sugar used to get the hint of sweetness).

We love the food here!! It's fresh, healthy, and delicious!!! We've visited here many times, and it's consistently great! The staff is friendly, and the booths are comfortable. A great place to come on a hot day - as they have air-conditioning! The ambiance is nice. It's clean, and they have a giant wall mural that makes you feel you are in Greece. We love this place!

Good food. Pretty sure nothing is actually homemade from scratch, but it is in a little strip mall, so I guess that's to be expected. Food is consistent and pretty good for a quick bite. My biggest complaint is they have no recycling at all, nor compost. Even when you eat in, you'll probably be using plastic fork and knife which just gets thrown out. All take out orders still use styrofoam containers. Owners, please get with the times and try and be a little more environmentally conscious.

Gyro meat was burnt and the lettuce was red and wilted. I used to love this place years ago when i worked in the area, but my stop in after a couple years away tells me i should stay away forever. Not good at all now. If you want a GREAT gyro, go to Greek Pita in Bothell. They make an amazing gyro and greek fries and the owner is awesome and authentic with his recipes.

Not sure if they got new ownership but I have been going for years and the gyro was one of the best. Today there was a bone in my chicken, pink chicken anda soggy pita. I tried to call to let them know and the phone has been disconnected. Very sad. Almost broke a tooth figuring it out and I hope I don't get sick. I was 1/2 way done before the bone which made me look and see pink chicken. You lost a customer today.
