Davood's Bistro

It was amazing!!! The staff were super friendly. We had a table close to the bar, so chef came and checked how we like our burgers! Two boarders down (such a cute name!) was so good. The full monty was pretty good, as well. The hot chocolate was good and perfect for the windy rainy day! Loved this place and would definitely recommend it.

Interesting experience at Davood’s this morning. 6 of us arrived to have breakfast with our dog so asked if we could sit on the patio which was empty. The waitress said she would get a chair and went inside. When she came out instead of seating us and giving us menus she started asking if we were all ordering and whether we are going to eat or not. I asked why all the questions and she went inside. I guess I felt we were somehow being judged. I went over to the window and told the owner if they didn’t want us to eat on the patio just say so and we would go somewhere else. He said relax. I said the waitress was making us feel unwelcome. He said don’t blame the waitress go sit down and you will be served. The rest of the experience was fine and after that the waitress was very polite. An experience that makes you go mmmm don’t think I’ll return there.

I was super excited to have brunch here as I’ve heard many good things. When we got there the server told us it would be a 10 minute wait. 5-10 minutes later she then told us it would be a 20 minute wait. She said it wouldn’t be necessary to give her our phone number. We asked if we could sit and wait at an empty table but she said, “I promise I’ll remember you, I won’t seat anyone else”. We went across the street to grab coffee to kill time. Less than 15 minutes later, when we returned she had sat 2-3 tables who were all the people waiting behind us and she then ignored us. When she finally talked to us she said they don’t allow outside drinks. She walked away, no apology and didn’t even offer us a table. Worst service. My partner and I will be sharing our experience with others. If I could give zero stars I would.
