We stopped in on our way home to Massachusetts and how happy we did!
Everything from the food to the drinks, service and atmosphere were amazing.
We asked the bartender for suggestions and went with the recommended tuna tartare and croque special. I got a mimosa and my other half got a Bloody Mary. Perfection!
We will be back!
Great Sunday brunch on the water. Food and drinks were very good. Our server, Mr. Williams was the best! Very friendly, professional and great personality.
We stopped in to celebrate a birthday dinner and they did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the service is top notch.

Went for brunch on a sunday and had a great experience. Food was good looking and tasty, the drinks (mainly the margartita) was delicious and moderate. The servers were great as well, kept coming to refill coffee which I loved, they wanted to make sure we were happy. Thank you guys!
Having just got off a long flight from the UK dinner at L'Escale was a welcome treat. Food was superb, service was just the right level of attentive and I'd have happily stayed for longer if the jet lag hadn't kicked in. I look forward to returning again in December.
Stopped in for a quick cocktail this afternoon and I was not disappointed. The bartender was attentive and accommodating. My cocktail was prepared well. Will definitely return for dinner and cocktails.
We heard about this place a while back and have been wanting to try it. We were in the neighborhood today and finally stopped in for lunch. It was perfect weather and we sat outside. Our waiter Kevin made us feel welcome and comfortable right away. We enjoyed a few well mixed cocktails and delicious appetizers, lunch entrees and dessert. All was delicious and enjoyed in a very relaxing atmosphere! Next visit will be for dinner!
I cannot wait to return to this grandeur. Beautiful location and we were fortunate to dine next to a window as the sun was setting. From the interior to the service and the food, it was a a superior experience.
They made a Virginia Mojito for my daughter and perfect Aviation for me. We had the salad with fried goat cheese, Steak and Frites as well as Lobster and linguine. So well made. My daughter brought me here for a belated Mother's day dinner and we agreed to make this a that tradition going forward. Happy she suggested. Excellent server as well. Applause
This is a true 5 star dining experience. The service was simply amazing with lots of attentive staff there to make your experience exceptional. I had the Gazpacho soup which was good but the Halibut was an amazing main course. The chocolate mouse cake was very large, outstanding and easy for 2 to share. Overall an excellent dinner experience.

Spectacular service and the food is outrageous.
Get the Noank oysters when you go. They are an oyster taken from the local Connecticut shores. They are wonderfully light, tender, and have a mild flavor you will not find anywhere else in the country.
House-made Smoked Salmon appetizer is too kill for. You just cannot find smoked salmon this good and it's even more special they make it in-house. It is delivered to your table with diced egg, chives, capers, and toast. Perfect appetizer for one or two to share.
Reserve a patio table if you can. You just can't beat their view of the bay while enjoying your meal.
You can tell service matters as Dave Fletcher (Operations Director) comes to each table to check on guests.
You cannot go wrong with anything on l'escale's menu.
My friend took me here for my birthday and we enjoyed a wonderful prix-fixe lunch. Great service, tasty dishes beautifully composed, lovely outdoor setting. We'll be returning for her birthday!
A very beautiful place right in the heart of lavish upper-class Connecticut! The food was prepared with care, and each bite really shows. Staff was friendly too, though I got the hint that they may have been silently judging us a bit. However, be sure to order the Maine Lobster Sliders, something you will not regret!!
I've been craving to go to a traditional French restaurant, and this place really delivered, Merci I'escale Restaurant!
Had lunch prix fixe. All the ingredients were fresh but seemed bit salty. The ambience was good and had a lot of people considering weekday lunch. Valet parking only
