La Cantinita

After reading the recent horrible reviews of this place on Yelp we were hesitant to even try it. But one thing people were griping about was spot on, there was a significant language barrier with our server. To point of if you want something unusual or a modification you better be real patient. At one point the mgr had to come out to clarify something we ordered. We did order a few items from the happy hour and I do get the idea that if we weren't careful we probably would be charged full price. The atmosphere of the place is great, probably a good place to see live music as well. Only problem is they left the front door open in nearly 100 degree weather so the AC could only keep the temp tolerable. Margaritas were very good. Overall I thought the food was pretty good and worth another trip back. They have a unique salsa: very hot, almost creamy and spicy. We were there through the dinner rush and the place was pretty dead so don't know how they are staying in business. It was Wednesday ladies night so the bartender gave our women free shots of tequila which I thought was very nice!

This place has a great atmosphere and the food is really good. There's a great outside bar area with TV's and comfortable chairs. The wait staff is friendly. The manager came to our table to remove dishes and asked how we were doing. He offered us an entré coupon for visiting for the first time too. Overall great experience!

La cantinita has gone through some interesting times. Recently there have been some new additions to their management! Honestly this place is the place to check out for a chill, swell and fun time with friends. Good changes have been made! Check it out and try to see the good in them. DefinDefinitely going back next weekend!

We were here between 8-9pm. There was no people only us and another family. Our food was great. I got the quesadilla and a Coke. Our rice was crusty and they replaced which was good. We ordered the mazapán martini but they were out. It was my first time here but my cousin said they were out last time too. Overall will return.
