Toured the apartment recently. Michelle is extremely professional, responsive, and accomodative. Throughout our interaction she was very patient with us and was able to help us out with what we were looking for. I had to end up going for a different apartment complex though which was a little closer to work but our experience here has been excellent. I saw a lot of negative reviews online in Google, Yelp, Apartments.com etc.. after I sent a request to tour the property. Hence I reached out to the office to see if they can explain. I tried calling their office but they did not have the option to speak with anyone!! In response to my email inquiry about the bad reviews, not only they did not acknowledge any shortcomings in the past, they have been trying to blame everyone including unknown users and former employees. Also they have been trying to remove the reviews but thankfully they have been unsuccessful. They wrote the following: "Quite a few of our reviews (both positive and negative) have been submitted by unknown users or people that we suspect as past disgruntled employees. We have definitely worked hard to get Google, Yelp, and other review sources to remove these false reviews to no avail." With the above in mind, this property does not seem to be an idea place. --------- Update: After I posted my review, I received an email from the manager. The email is as follows, and to me it is unprofessional. Over multiple emails I asked for explanations and made multiple calls, they never provided a good reply and dodged the questions in different ways. Once I posted my review they got disappointed on me!!! See the email below: "We noticed that you posted a negative review on our Google page. While I did appreciate your feedback and will look back at how I can improve my customer service, I do wish that you would’ve been able to communicate with me any specific questions you had about our reviews. I would have been glad to go over all of them with you. However, I feel that you already made up your mind based our reviews alone and not a personal experience. If you read through our reviews closely, you’ll notice the inconsistencies and blatant jokes that were posted. I am disappointed in how you approached this situation, but again I do wish you all the best."

We have lived in 888 for a year from 2019-2020. We had an amazing stay here. The management is super responsive and the manager Randi is amazing and always tries to keep tenants happy! The apartments are super clean and the amenities are nice too! Will definitely consider this place if we move to San Mateo again. We had one incident where we had lost our keys during a weekend trip, the apartment management (Kathy etc.) made sure we had access to our apartment when we came back. They came in late on a Sunday and opened it for us.

I'm not sure where the bad reviews come from so I thought I'd post my own. My wife and I lived there for a year and it was a lovely experience. Admin and maintenance staff were all very friendly and helpful. Didn't have any major issue in any aspect. Prices are what you'd expect from the location, amenities and quality of the building and flats. We would totally live there again and would recommend it to anyone!

I have recently moved here starting beginning of January. We looked at couple of places close to downtown Burlingame before deciding on 888. Randi and Michelle has been super helpful from the tour to our move-in. The whole process was a breeze with their help and quick responsiveness. I was impressed by their thoroughness and attentiveness during the move-in. They were both very helpful with information and made sure we were taken care of. Glad to be in the community!

Move here if you want to Pay a Four Seasons price and get a one star ⭐️Airbnb experience or even one as a neighbor... I lived here for four years and was extremely happy till “Romell L.L.C” took over. ​ Leasing Office & Management- The availability of the front leasing office as well as the maintenance staff is comparable to finding a ethical car sales person.... good luck! Brooke & Kathy will blatantly lie to your face to get you to sign a lease. Do not believe anything they say just like a car salesman. Security- Building doors do not always open with access code & Key fob for access reliability . Packages are routinely stolen via all delivery platforms because the office will not sign for packages. Amazon routinely will throw the packages over the parking gate and hope you will find them. Residents have been know to accept food deliveries and eat themselves. Amenities- Pool is kept at a unsafe level for safety standards. This has been proven by numerous injuries happening and residents breaking out in rashes. The health department has been called and the leasing office simply takes down the caution tape. Residents routinely throw full trash bags into the hallway like a third world country. I encountered random dog poop smeared in the halls because residents are too lazy to take there dogs outside. The gym facilities act as an unattended childcare facility for small kids to run around. Leasing office says nothing about that. Gym noise is extremely loud and the office could care less about it. Maybe the gun noise would be less if the equipment was maintained. In this price, category for apartments run fast away from this complex or better yet do not step foot in it.

Thanks Kathy for coordinating my package delivery last week. That would've really messed up the surprise for my wife's birthday had I missed that! It's helpful we now have access to packages at night when the office is closed, unlike the prior owner where we could only collect packages during their office hours (which were when I was at work). Great party space in the community room. Our friends were totally impressed with the place, and your team couldn't have been nicer getting everyone in when I was running out to meet the food truck.

My wife and I moved to the area for work a year ago. We just signed our renewal. We thought this was a good spot because of us going in opposite directions (easy freeway and train access). Yah, there's some train noise but it's like living in a city, but with easy parking and clean streets. Being close to downtown Burlingame means I walk to the train and we only need one car. My in-laws are moving to the area to be near us, and will move in here. We like that there are two buildings to give us some separation.
