We ate at the bar due to a special event in the dining area. The food was fine, although the chicken in the almond crusted chicken salad was really dry and flavorless - likely was frozen chicken. The rest of the salad was great and the sauerbraten and eggs benedict were good.

I was surprised at how good the sauerbraten was! Quality was equal to a good German restaurant! Potato pancakes were crispy. Overall a very good meal! My daughter enjoyed the schnitzel over pasta with vodka sauce. Restaurant is a bit noisy though. Hard to have a conversation.

The wasabi calamari and wings and bar service were very good. Definitely worth revisiting as I am new to the area

Quaint, romantic, reasonably priced, and something for everyone. The saurbratton, short ribs, skirt skirt, autumn bisque (seasonal) and blackened tuna salad are my favorites. All desserts are usually fresh and yummy. The service can be hit or miss sometimes but living 2 blocks away, it's a local favorite.

Great place to eat, drink and enjoy yourself with friends.
Drinks are generous and food is plenty. You can take home or wolf it down and roll out. Whatever works best for you. My husband LOVED the Penne ala Vodka. Said it was out of this world.
The servers were spot on with attention and very pleasant.
Will definitely go back again.

We had the shrimp pasta with goat cheese and the turkey club. Both were excellent. Service was great and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable. Can’t wait to go back and try some of the other dishes.

Been here a few times , foods good service is good, sometimes a little too loud but, when the place is packed what do you expect- Will go again I am sure.

Huge gluten free selection! Loved the options and my meal was fantastic. I had gluten free chicken francaise and gluten free penne alla vodka which were both incredible! Amazing staff, delicious cocktails, can’t wait to return!

I really enjoy Cafe Joelle, I've been a regular for years, I especially like the almond crusted chicken salad & the calamari. The staff is always friendly & efficient. Sayville is a nice Long Island village with several good shops. Personally I miss some of the small businesses that have closed or retired. The more corporate shops that have come in have taken away from the cozy feel of the village.
