Burgermaster

This is a place where variety is king. You can get just about anything in the Americana menu world, breakfast through dinner. None of it is sublime, but all of it is executed reliably. Variety that could please just about any group of any age, and all in a mid-century vibe...get it while it lasts. When this is gone, an entire genre of restaurant is gone from the landscape. Is this progress? If you've been in Seattle for a couple -few decades, and if you're around when its replacement takes its place, you decide!

This is a harder review. The service and atmosphere were great. No complaints. The food, as tested by the health department, was excellent. But I have to say I was hoping for different than what I got. The bacon was thin, the burgers way over sauced, and the bun didn't hold up to the burger it held. The flavor was good enough. The fries were perfectly cooked and reasonably seasoned. I liked the condiment table as a separate station a lot. The coconut cream pie was over sweet, but the crust was perfect. It reminds me of a place that would have been THE spot to go in the 50s or 60s, and is now past it's prime, but still a viable option for the modern crowd. So yeah, it was worth a stop for the experience. But not good enough for me to want to go back.

Great experience, and I especially want to express my delight and gratitude to the employee who packed my milkshakes. I asked for a bag to try to keep my milkshakes from melting on a commute, and was delighted to unpack them and find them with plastic cups and ice! So kind and above and beyond. Tried to call to thank you, but no answer. You made a positive difference in my day! 🥰

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and exactly as ordered. Food came out fast, hot, and fresh. They dont offer combo meals, so all items you want must be ordered separately. For fountain drinks, there are no free refills. Refills are 1 dollar. Inside does offer plenty of seating to enjoy your meal. But the inside is dated and showing its age and due for an update. The outside is kept clean and looks very nice.
