The Fox House

We stopped for lunch at The Fox House on Thursday on our day trip around the Peak District. The pub had a really lovely decor, welcoming atmosphere and the staff were really friendly and helpful. More importantly the food was delicious. We both had the bacon chops and they were really succulent and don't get me started on the triple cooked chips (swoon). Definitely one to visit again next time we are in the area. Thank you.

Lovely views and building. Exceptionally busy. We sat outside so ordered at the bar as the signal wasn't great to order on their app so had to queue for a while but they were so busy we accepted the wait. Food was good considering. Could have had a couple more drinks but waited 20 minutes the first time so was deterred from more. All in all we enjoyed our visit and we'll be back.

Absolutely fantastic place to eat surrounded by gorgeous scenery. It has become the number one place for my wife and I to share a romantic meal. We also love bringing our friends here when they come to visit, and it is a consistent hit with everyone we've brought here. The food is incredible and the staff are always lovely and friendly.

we had Vicky as our waitress today, we hadn’t booked a table but still managed to get in and was seated at a very comfortable table. they were very busy but she came over as soon as she could to take our order and apologised for the wait which we appreciated, she took our order very efficiently and brought us our drinks as soon as she possibly could even though they were busy we were still treated very well. overall a really really pleasant experience, Vicky was so kind and i had a laugh with her which is always nice. she made my dads birthday very pleasant, definitely will be going again 😆😊

Stayed here for 3 nights with the family. Ate in the restaurant our first night. Food was fantastic and Paige went out of her way to accommodate the GF requests that we have in our party. Room was spacious and had everything we needed but was above the public toilets. It was noisy with the hand dryers when we were trying to get the kids to sleep. Breakfast was excellent each morning. Good selection of food and drinks available.
