The Admiral, it brought back memories as my in-laws lived in the area a number of years ago. The best bit the staff as friendly the food as I remember Top notch. The choices on the boards have you wondering, when in the area again definitely will stop off for dinner 👍

Always a good experience, but the service could be quicker. Always have to wait for the fish to be cooked. It's supposed to be a fast food place. On a night they know it's going to be high demand, surely a stock of fish should be waiting already cooked, to achieve a fast turnaround.

In all honesty, I've not been a big fan of the Admiral for a while now. I think the quality of food and the service has been slipping for a couple of years. Having said that, my wife called in to pick up tea one day last week because I had been working late, and I was very pleasantly surprised. There appears to have been a big change, and it is definitely for the good. I had a special kebab, which now comes in a box and not the polystyrene trays as before. To be honest, I couldn't fault it. The chicken wasn't wet and slimy as I had previously experienced, there was plenty of salad which they had appeared to have cut back on quite a lot, and the pitta bread was light and fluffy and not hard and dry. It was not what I was expecting at all, but I hope this is a permanent change. Well done Admiral, keep it up.
