Workshop Koffee Kelham

I attended a Wreath Making Evening at Workshop Koffee this evening and it was brilliant! So well organised with plenty of wreath making equipment. Leanne and Lyndsey were so friendly and had thought of everything to make the evening extra special. The mulled wine and mini buffet was delicious. It was such festive evening made extra fun by the staff and I’ll definitely be going again next year :-)

Fabulous Coffee Shop and Café based in the Steel Yard at Kelham Island on the outskirts of Sheffield City Centre serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, cakes and bakes as well as tasty breakfast and lunch options. Their American-style pancakes and Full English Breakfast are to die for!! This venue is an urban and vibrant converted shipping container and is a great place to start the day with a hearty breakfast! Based in the very modern and social Steel Yard in Kelham Island, it’s a great place to grab a coffee as well as some tasty treats. We decided to visit on a Saturday morning for breakfast and booked a table for 10:30am however when we arrived there were spare tables so booking wasn’t essential and parking along the street just outside of Steel Yard was available. We ordered coffees – I went with the Iced Latte which was lovely and refreshing, and the Cappuccino Ben ordered was lovely too – decently priced as well. Keep reading for a sneaky little offer… I had my heart (and greedy eyes) set on the pancakes that I had seen across Instagram and I decided to treat myself, and I was not disappointed! Thick, fluffy, American-style pancakes piled high with a long list of options for toppings – I went with fruit, Nutella and peanut butter. In the end I think I was being greedy requesting peanut butter, I received a little pot full and as the pancakes were so filling I only had a tiny bit. The addition of the strawberries and banana against all the melted Nutella was very refreshing, and the pancakes were cooked perfectly. I tried my best however the gorgeous stack of pancakes defeated me and I couldn’t manage them all, leaving in a food-drunk and happy state. All this for just £6 – bargain! Ben went with a good old All Day Breakfast (bargain at £7), which of course I had a nibble of. A large plate full of perfectly cooked food; 2 sausages, 2 bacon (cooked really well i.e. not fatty! and just crisp), juicy mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, beans, fried egg and toast with butter. Everything was delicious, hot and very filling – a great kickstart to the day! Staff here were really friendly and attentive, we couldn’t have asked for more for our treat breakfast out!
