Miller & Carter Sheffield City Centre

A week ago, my boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary dinner. The staff members were very attentive, friendly and helpful. Steaks were cooked well and very tasty, although mine was a bit too rare for a medium steak. Nevertheless, my boyfriend's medium rare steak was cooked to perfection. Fries were decent. Lettuce wedge with the dressing made a delicious side and was super fresh! Espresso martini cocktails were very good. Great atmosphere and food - We'll definitely revisit here again! Ps. Tom is a credit to the business - Very professional, helpful and friendly.

Our Steak Expert was Tom. A very knowledgeable worker and a credit to M&C. Having it been my birthday I wanted to try something different. Tom’s expertise recommended the Butchers Block to share with my partner and proceeded to share his knowledge on how he would have each steak cooked. I went with his recommendations and it did not disappoint. It was delicious. He then went above and beyond and delivered this to the table (picture below) I had thought my partner did this or asked for this but it was his idea and a kind gesture which topped off a lovely evening. I will definitely be back again and while I’m sure all the staff are friendly and professional I’d say you were in luck if Tom was your steak expert. 👏

We had never been before and we weren’t disappointed. The whole experience from beginning to end was really enjoyable. The food was lovely and the steak was cooked to perfection. We both thought it was really good value and wouldn’t hesitate in going back. In fact I can’t wait to go again! Our server, Beka, well what can I say, she was lovely, very friendly, and very knowledgeable, she knew her stuff. Thanks to her, I will never have my steak on its own again, I will have the sauce she recommended, it was lovely. Just a most enjoyable night from beginning to end. Thank you Miller & Carter!

We came here with my wife on my birthday (at her suggestion); we've been to other Miller and Carter outlets before, but it was our first time at this branch. Since we're both lovers of meat, this restaurant suits us very well, but if there are vegetarians or vegans in your party they may not have quite the successful time we did. We had an excellent meal, three courses, plus sides, wine and cocktails etc. The stuffed bone marrow (a side) could easily have done service as a starter in its own right, and our server (Jess B) looked after us superbly. I was a very happy birthday boy. We would be very pleased to come back here again, and to recommend this place to our non-vegetarian friends.

We visited the place for the first time last week and stayed at the new hotel for a couple of days. The atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing, the rooms were very clean. The customer service was excellent in both the restaurant and throughout our stay. Friendly, polite and very informative staff. The steak was cooked to perfection and all of the plates were well-presented. The wines were exceptional too. Definetely recommend and will visit again!

We enjoyed the menu selection for both food and wine. We were sat in a timely manner and our server was prompt and attentive, and was knowledgeable about the menus. We also enjoyed the layout and decor of the restaurant, and sat in a booth which was nice. The food was delicious and we were provided with boxes to take home what we couldn't eat at the time. In terms of improvements, we noticed quite a lot of fruit flies which was slightly problematic as we were drinking wine. Unfortunately, as the food is served on slabs, it is easy for sauces to drip. Due to this, as the server was placing it on the table it spilled onto my clothing. It would perhaps be safer to place these as the end of the table and slide them into position. I was provided with a wet cloth to clean my clothing but this was then not collected and so remained on our table for the duration of our stay which was off-putting. We had a drink at the bar following our meal and staff were obviously winding down for the evening, which is nice to see. However, as the staff remain front of house in this area it would be useful to remind staff to behave professionally if still on shift. We were under the impression that there was a Thursday offer on food, but this was not advertised or mentioned during our visit.
