The Chop House I12 Katong

First time at this branch as I've always visited the one at Vivo city. Great place with both indoor and outdoor seating. The food is great and a very nice drinks and wine selection. I've always found the music selection very suitable for the vibe as well. Was the only table sitting outside but the service staff was always attentive to look out for our needs despite being busy. Thank you

The baby chair is the first disappointment as refer to the picture(dirty old stain). Ambience was nice even coming in the day. Had ordered, 1) Sirloin steak : was dry but taste acceptable(don't match the price $28). 2) Steak sandwich : great taste and nice bread but was serve on an old wooden chop board(germs from wooden chop board can be deadly). 3) 3 glass of ìce water which charge 50 cent each! (2 adult & baby) *Not heart pain of the money but at least inform so that I can decide if my baby need that glass of water. Overall I don't recommend, 1) Dinning with kids here. 2) if you're someone that's focus on hygiene. 3) don't mind having steak from coffee shop.

Nice ambience and amazing service from the staff. However, the food was mediocre. The cauliflower soup was nice (had a slight cheesy taste and very creamy - may not be to everybody’s liking). The cheese burger was terrible! The patty tasted sour and very salty. Had to eat with chilli sauce to mask the taste. And patty was very thin. Would rather have macdonald’s ... I was there on a Chope lunch voucher so damage wasn’t huge. Will have to think twice if I want to give this place another try ~~~

This was a deliveroo order, how pathetic this does look? One tomato (I stand corrected its HALF a tomato) and 5 strands of watercress. That's 230g of beef... It looks miserable. What a shame from the wooloomooloo group. How can they send customer this sad dish, imagine getting this in the restaurant. You would do a double take to make sure you're not some part of social experiment or kitchen nightmares. If you're trying to cash in on the delivery business at least put some effort in. I can safely say after reading your reply, it has reinforced my stand that I shall not patronise your establishment and will gladly offer my opinion when asked about Chopshop

Had dinner for 6 adults and 2 children. Food was generally good. Loved the lamp chops but they were pricey at $44 for 2 relatively small pieces. Had to send one order back because the lamb was raw. Starter portions are pricey because portions were small, especially the calamari. But overall, it was a pleasant dining experience.

Went for dinner with 5 of us. Ordered the following: a. Mussel and mushroom soup. Taste ok. Felt there is too much cream in the mussel soup. Would be better for us that the mushroom are blended more finely. But it's solely our preference. b. 2 types of salads. Both are great. c. Chicken chop - perfectly done. d. Baby backs ribs for 2 to share. The portion is just nice with 3 slabs of ribs. Taste is good. d. Tenderlion steak - medium rare is a little to raw for us and the waitress brought it back to be re-done to medium. Taste is great. Would have preferred a different vege than watercress, which we felt is too strong and overpowers the taste of the steak. e. Lamb shank - perfectly done. The meat is soft and melts in the mouth. f. Sago gula melaka and banana split. The gula melaka is a must try...it is topped with coconut flavoured ice cream with nuts and seeds sprinkled. Overall bill - $300/-
