The meat dishes are not bad but the vegetable dishes can be better. If you drive and you’re lucky, you get to park right outside the restaurant. Overall, I think this is a nice place to bring old folks who are looking for less salty Peranakan food but it certainly doesn’t suit patrons like me looking for food that packs a punch.

Cheap meal set and average food. Order 2 set meal to share. Surprisingly the desert ice kachang comes together with the meal. Only the eggs omelette are spot on. The rest are like less salt, less chilly, less flavor. Dabao the soon kuay it’s really good with chunky fillings.

Surprised why this place wasn't more packed. Food was quite decent and food was served fast. Go here to check out the Ayam Buah Keluak - really good! The rendang wasn't what I'm used to, so found it average. Device was fast but could be better in other aspects.

Authentic Peranakan food at @tingkatpm serve up flavourful and delicious dishes. Food Review: Ayam Buak Keluak. Chicken braised in garam assam and Indonesian black nut pulp. The heady aroma and fragrance of this braised dish is unmistakable, and so tender. Beef Rendang. Tender pieces of beef cooked in spicy coconut gravy with serondeng flakes. Meat so fork tender and that goes perfectly well with the gravy! Sambal Sotong. Fresh squids stir fried in sambal sauce. It’s spicy with a tinge of sweetness which is exactly what I like. Sayur Masak Lemak Assorted vegetables cooked in creamy spicy coconut gravy. The umami flavour and aroma of the dried shrimps combines perfectly with the fresh coconut milk used. This simple dish burst with the flavour combination that is so distinctively Nyonya. Seafood Otak. Made using Spanish Mackerel, Squids and Prawns in a rich spicy paste, grilled on turmeric leaf. Very fresh and right spicy kick. Hee Peow Soup Cabbage consist of fish maw, fish, prawns and pork balls in rich pork and chicken broth. So tasty. Babi Pongtay. Pork braised in fragrant fermented bean sauce They also serve in set meal with a main, two sides, a drink and a dessert that is pretty value-for-money. Dessert Review: Apom Berkuah. Fluffy nyonya rice pancakes with banana pengat, a sauce made from bananas, gula melaka and coconut milk to dunk the Apoms in! Wat socery is that. So yummy Durian Chendol. Shaved ice with slurpy chendol, red beans, Gula Melaka syrup and coconut milk. Served with a dollop of D24 durian puree. Durian Pengat. Rich D24 durian mousse served chilled. smooth and creamy. Went for lunch and got ourselves a Chicken Bua Keluak and Beef Rendang set. Pretty average peranakan food in my opinion. Food wasn't particularly flavorful. Not terrible, but not fantastic either. Would not go out of the way to visit.

My first visit for Mini-Year End Party for 5 pax. 😀 Chef very accommodating to cook portion for 5 with 50% price added as we intend to order a variety😁 My Japanese colleagues initially found the Curry Fish Head a little spicy 🔥. However, the more they try, they found it delicious 😋 The even finished the entire head left only the bones and eyes of the Fish🤣 Babi Pongtay and Beef Rendang is so tender😋 Must order white rice as most of the dishes are saucy so it goes well👍 When I asked anyone wants dessert, only 1 wanted😉. However, after sharing about Durian, my Executive Director very courageously wanted to try Durian Chendol😅. He thought spicy like curry then he commented creamy like Japanese dessert, smell not so strong 😂 He mentioned first time to try Curry Fish Head and Durian Chendol and likes them🥰 Overall, food tasty, price affordable and ambience pretty authentic yet comfortable😃
