San Laksa Steamboat

Went to new outlet at Kitchener road for lunch. The laksa broth is not too spicy , they give you three variety of chili one is to mix into soup to make it spicer if you like . Spent $140 for 4 pax excl GST. Got the $50 lunch set which is pretty worthwhile, comes with fish paste , sliced chicken , pork collar, Kang kong , mix of fish balls/ sotong balls , tau kee, 2 bowls of thick bee Hoon. You can add on additional items from ala carte menu . N if you are someone who likes draught beer, they have aashi beer n black aashi on tap . Only down side , within one hour of finishing meal … We are feeling very thirsty.

San laksa hotpot is exceptionnal ! The laksa soup is a must try ! So excellent ! And all the dishes are really good quality. Excellent service, pleasant staff, super responsive, the place is really clean, we will definitely come back and stronghly encourage all the hot pot lovers to drop by San Laksa !

23Jan2022 Had my reunion dinner here. Ordered the CNY lobster set for 4pax. To make it special, Owner Martin Lau specially arranged for live abalones for us as well! We were also given gloves to break open the shells off the lobsters which were alrdy cut. Not messy at all! Kudos to the Owner for being so thoughtful. He also takes the time to assist us in cooking the lobsters and abalones properly. Wonderful service from the owner and staff! Needless to say, the lobster broth is exceptionally tasty. Soaking in the thick bee hoon and champon noodles in the broth after all the ingredients really brings the meal to the next level. Never know plain bee hoon/ noodle can transform and taste so delicious with just the broth. A must try! Remember to pair the steamboat with wine and draft beer. The drinks complete the dining experience perfectly! One of my most memorable reunion dinner ever with my family. Hassle free and enjoyable dinner amidst a cozy ambience. Will be back for more with friends and colleagues! Previous reviews Comfort food, light broth and friendly service. Good range of ingredients and sauces to dip the food in. Simple but so satisfying.
