Doong Ji Korean Restaurant

Do order the new additions... anything with Rose pre-fix! We had the Rose Chewy Noodle and Seafood Fish Cake soup. Wife was delighted that they tasted like what she had in Korea! The Rose Chewy Noodle is the best noodle dish I have in last 12 months. Creamy, chewy and chokeful of delicious bite-size ingredients. The rose color added to the visual feast. It feeds 2 persons easily. The fish cake soup was another surprising find. Generous with fresh seafood, the soup was a sweet complement to the creamy noodle. When we were leaving, we spied a bucket of tempting fried chicken pieces coated with sweet sauce on another table. We vow to return!

Great Korean food option on East Coast road. The portions are huge at reasonable price. We only needed to order 1 bowl for each person and got free side dishes (refillable) to add extra taste to our bowls. The ambiance is nice, staff are attentive and helpful. They do offer PayWave payment option at the counter if you ask, no GST (or no service charge, I can't remember now). Convenient parking along East Coast road side.

Loved the food here so much. Came during early dinner time (about 545pm) and there weren’t that many people. Service was quick and the food came piping hot. The food was well-seasoned (except the seafood pancake - felt that it was quite mediocre) and the best part was that the delicious sides were all free flow!! My favourite was the mashed potato. The meats may appear to be quite expensive but the free flow sides kinda make up for it. There is also no service charge because you order and pay in an app so that’s a plus point too. Will be back :-)

I have missed Doong Ji thanks to Covid-19! Finally got the chance today. As we got there near to closing so it was kinda rush but we still enjoyed the food. For Banchan we had the usual cabbage and pear kimchi, kelp, bean sprout, mashed potato and salad. For mains we had the Grill Pork Belly, Beef Bulbogi, Kimchi jigae and potato pancake. They grill the meats before serving which was good. The meat has a nice taste of salt and korean sesame oil. Simple yet 😋. As it was such a hot day, I ordered the Cold Noodles which was so refreshing. Always happy after eating Doong Ji. The servers were very attentive too.
