Seoul Garden

Seoul Garden has always been about the experience around the table. The smokeless tabletop cooker, the amazing flavor of the food. Had a long overdue catch up with friends last night and nothing has changed, except that it is no longer a buffet due to the pandemic. Instead you order from the table and the servers bring the food to your table quite promptly. The place was full (by safe standards) and we stuffed ourselves too.

Can't remember when's the last time I visited any Seoul Garden, but at least 10 years ago? Had recently visited Seoul Garden at NEX, and was impressed with them. Seoul Garden has indeed come a long way and adapt to the changing local F&B scene. In the past, I found Seoul Garden to be just an average, greasy place for a quick and budget friendly BBQ buffet place. However, through this recent visit, noted that they have become more upmarket, trendy and polished. The menu is extensive yet not confusing. Ordered the premium set for 2 and portions were really generous. The beef were good, and chicken pieces were large too. However, didn't really like the bulgogi marinade, and wish they allow us to choose between the bulgogi or mala chicken (do note the mala is an additional chicken dish if you order the set for 4). Surely Seoul Garden is not the most authentic Korean restaurant, however, it is certainly localised and brings certain nostalgia for local diners in some forms. Rated 5 stars not entirely for its food, and for the 5th and most important star was awarded to one of their staff, Nida. Also mentioned by some reviewers here, she is the Filipino lady whom is really friendly and warmth. It almost felt like dining in her home and she genuinely takes care of you. Of course, other staff were also generally nice and prompt.

Went on Fri nitz to celebrate bday. At 730pm, there is table for walk in customer. Chose the premium set at 45++ that come with wagyu beef and a pot of spicy soup. Serving is quickly setup with platter of meats and seafood like squid, prawn and salmon. In general the meats , I find lamb meat tough, difficult to bit and chew. Chicken n beef marinated taste are average. The wagyu beef nothing to shout about. Staff are friendly and accommodating to our requests to refill. The ventilation is good, I left the place without feeling oily or smoky smell.

Made a reservation and came here on a weekday morning. The staff were really friendly and polite especially our waitress who was a Filipino lady. She was extremely helpful in explaining the menu and ordering system to us and was incredibly polite. We ordered the nostalgic flavours of seoul garden lunch buffet that was $25++/pax. It came with free flow drinks, brown rice and a platter of 8 different classic seoul garden meats (teriyaki chicken, Bulgolgi beef, etc) that you can top up. However your dining duration is limited to 90 minutes. Our waitress checked up on us consistently to see if we needed anything which was really nice of her and she was really bubbly throughout. She even offered to change our grill without us asking. Hopefully she gets a raise! The food was good and filling. We were really content with our meal and our experience. Would definitely go back there for another meal! TLDR: Great food, amazing service. Affordable price. Would highly recommend.

Went to Seoul Garden with my family for dinner today. Ordered the Premium Grill Bundle for 4 persons, which cost S$120. The quality of the meats was frankly quite disappointing. The set had 2 types of wagyu beef; marushin and karubi. The marushin was tough and of low grade, and the taste was below average. Even the tiger prawns weren't exactly fresh. The only highlights were the chicken dishes. Total cost of the meal was S$141.25.

Had dinner here with Premium set so that we can enjoy all you can eat beef short plate. We need to order with max 100gr per order. The problem was tge order came only after 30-40mins, and each time given only 50gr, there was no checks what order has been fullfilled, you just need to wait and accept. So terrible! Pay more than what we expect.
