Sbagliato Kitchen And Bar

Top marks for super friendly and proactive wait staff (they're very attentive and accommodating). Hardly had to wait for my food, and I came during weekday at lunch too. Food was pretty authentic, comparable to what I'd find in Italy back when I lived in Europe. I was initially disappointed by portion sizes but they were deceptively small, I was struggling to finish by the end of the meal. Prices are nett and lunch sets make for really good value, especially in the area.

I went to the counter asking if there was still food available at 2.50pm. The kitchen was already dark, but the waitress said she'll check with her chef though their kitchen usually closes by 2.30. The chef appears and told me he'll make me anything I want :) I asked for 'something pasta & something cheese' and got this beautiful customized crispy parmesan crispy bacon tagliatelle. Thank you so much for feeding me and satisfying my cravings

Heard good things about this place so I decided to try this out one day when I was craving for pasta at lunch time. Perhaps it was the time I visited, which was around 2pm, when it's not such a popular time for lunch, but everything was disappointing. They were serving set lunch (soup + pasta) ubtil 2.30pm, for around $15 after service and tax. However, I was told that the soup has run out,and if it's ok to have salad instead. I didn't want salad and was about to tell them that I'll go without soup nor salad, but the service staff said she will check with the kitchen to see if they can make some. Then the soup came like this: see pic. It's like 5 spoonful of sour diluted tomato paste. I finished it anyway cos I haven't eaten the entire day. Then the pasta came and it was very undercooked. The sauce was quite good, but the pasta was hard. Sad and disappointing. Maybe I'll give this place a try again during a more popular timing at dinner time.

They have a set lunch menu with soup + pasta / pizza which is usually interesting if you work in the area. But the last two times I went there, they didn't serve the soup and still end up with the same price while other customers get their full deal. Today was the WORST experience has in addition to forgetting the soup again, they served me the saddest looking pizza I have ever seen with barely any pepperoni (see picture). Raising the issue with staff and management is POINTLESS as they keep going on with their business and don't address any issue or even acknowledge you. NEVER AGAIN !!!

Food is brilliant, and it's great fun to drink at. They got the motto the wrong way around! Fantastic hosts... If the bar isn't busy expect to be treated like a VIP. If it is busy expect just solid service and nothing is too much trouble. Actual Italian chef and the other two (Mae & Marcelo) are brilliant fun and know their stuff. Ps... Order the meatballs! 🤤
