Hajjah Mariam

Food with nice taste and huge portion. Clean and cosy, but limited seats. I’m not sure if it’s consider pricey for some, but a big plate for 2 pax like this cost $17. To me it’s more than worth the price! No service charge, only GST. Personally I love the beef rendang, I’m not a fan of chicken drum, will prefer curry chicken pieces instead. In any case, it’s yummy!

The food was abit pricey. I ordered 1 serving of beef nasi ambeng cost abt S$11.90 then i add in sambal petai a small potion cost abt S$2.50 but the beef rendang was generous my aunt ordered asam pedas ikan pari abt S$3.50 Just because the nasi ambeng was nice we dine in.. the service crew was very nice...

Located in Westgate mall and easily accessible by the Jurong East MRT station, Hajjah Mariam cafe serves delicious Malay food. The cafe is not in the style of a Starbucks or Coffee Bean but more along the lines of a coffee shop stall. In other words, this more a place to enjoy food rather than ambience (though seating is neat and clean). Food is as authentic as possible inside a shopping mall. Additionally, it's priced reasonably given the indoor air conditioned environment. The Mee Soto is a particular favorite of mine though I also enjoy the rice dishes. If shopping in Jurong East Hajjah Mariam is a recommended detour for Malay food.

Really good Malaysian/Indonesian food. Not the cheapest food for a mall hawker center, but well worth the price. Tasty rendang, and they have the traditional Tempeh dish as well, that I didn't see around Singapore much. It is in the basement, with lots of seating. The big plates for more than one person are a lot of food.
