Our omakase lunch was a delightful experience. The intrinsic quality and taste of the food were brought out as our chef skillfully prepared our dishes. The sashimi were fresh and of premium quality and we were sufficiently filled at the end of the meal - enough to last us past dinner time! Staff were also warm and attentive. As we were here for a birthday celebration, we had light effects as a mini bonus for our birthday dessert :) Will definitely be back again.

We tried the Omakase lunch set <yume> at Shinji which is located within Carlton hotel. The ingredients were fresh and nicely prepared by the chef. Overall portion was just nice and each dish was bite sized. The price is slightly high, but still considered reasonable.

Still one of the best sushi restaurants in Singapore. Tamaru San had the best hospitality and service was excellent. It’s not hard to book, just get on their waitlist! Sushi was impressive as usual.

It's my second time here and I have enjoyed the dining experience. The service staff are quite observant. For example, my guest coughed and they served a glass of water without asking. We ordered the 12 piece sushi for lunch and it was just right.

Came here to celebrate my birthday and I have to say this is one of the best Japanese sushi restaurants I have ever been to. Firstly the service was amazing, the staff were extremely friendly and patient. They explained to me the different types of dishes and what ingredients were used in it which was very insightful. The environment makes you feel like you are in a Japanese home which was very comforting and peaceful. Moving on the food, the food was just simply amazing. Every mouthful of sushi was so fresh. It is as though you are eating the sushi straight from when it was caught from the sea. You can just taste the ocean directly in your mouth which was amazing. The different types of sushi and dishes had so many unique flavours which left me really satisfied with every bite. The presentation of the dishes was really good which added to the overall experience, the Japanese dining experience. The desserts were exceptional too and I would say the japanese melon was one of the highlights. It is so sweet and juicy which was very refreshing. I would highly recommend trying it. Overall shinji is one of those restaurants that leaves you very happy and satisfied once you walk out of the restaurant. I will never forget the experience.
