Crab Kingdom

Bought takeaway of (1) Crab Bee Hoon, (2) Cereal Prawn, (3) Salted Egg French Beans. The crabs and prawns were huge and fresh. The seasoning of the dishes is a little bit milder (i.e. less salty) than what you'd get from other places. And I liked it this way. Food was served quick too. The coffee shop also has someone checking vax status, so you can dine in >2 if you want.

The crab bee hoon is super good. The soup was excellent. You can request to add more noodles. The crab meat was tasty too. Tried the chilli crab too. The chilli sauce tasted different from the ones I have eaten. Crab size is between 800 to 950 kg but it was served with big claws. I would prefer the sauce to be less starchy. Other food in the menu which are good is the prawn paste chicken wings. They were nicely coated and the meat juicy on the inside 😋. The salted egg yoke prawns were delicious too and the size of the prawns are big too 👍. Yam cake and vegetables were also nice. Service was good and the place was airy and breezy. Good place to bring your family and invite your friends for a good meal. You won't be disappointed. Bon appetite!

Had dinner at the zhi char place at Bedok South. Was there on a weekend and there was a huge crowd. Very clearly, you can tell that they are understaffed. We waited for quite some time before our orders were taken. Food was pretty decent but the lack of service really ruins the whole experience. Can you imagine even for the lou hei, we have to pour the condiment ourselves?
