Classic Cake

Make sure you use up all the spring onion and garnish that they give in the box. Their radish cake and yam cake are both really amazing, whether cold, steamed, or pan fried. Together with the garnish, and the chilli that they provided, it makes the entire dish super tea break worthy. Tried their original crepe milles as well, and thoroughly enjoyed it too. They're actually located in some quiet corner of Sunset Way, and you'd not know that they're here. I never did, until quite recently. But well, if you're looking for some teabreak snacks, now you've read this review and know that they're here.

Totally not recommended. I am putting 1 star becos I can’t submit a feedback as zero star. When we walked into the shop, no one was there to serve us. When the guy came out, I greeted him saying that we were first time here. He dun even bother to introduce anything to us or even chat more. When we placed our orders, the guy’s face was not even smiling. May I put it across, it was black face and stark up. So we thought, oh wells must be very nice cakes and famous already that’s why a bit stark up. Nvm we bear with it and looked forward to go home and try the cakes. But it was really such a disappointment. Dun even bother to try their crepe cakes. Durian crepe cake bought and ate on same day and it tasted sour. Original crepe cake lacks the flavour. Macha crepe cake dun even have any taste of cake, just overwhelmed with macha taste. Choc chip crepe cake was too sweet for my liking.

Ordered the durian crepe and brought the yam cake back home. Durian crepe is heaven bless. Every bite is full of durian’s mushy texture and taste. Carrot cake is kept in a low temp fridge so it was abit cold when i got it, but still it does not affect the taste. The chili packs a severe punch. Try it with caution!! Once in a while indulgence. Price worth for the quality

Classic Cakes has been our go-to place for cakes for ages. We love the Black Forest Cake and Radish cake. The mille crêpes are lovely too. Since my Papa always has a craving for the Radish Cake, I thought it would be fun to surprise him with one for his birthday. I requested for Charles to help me with the inscription, “Happy 85th Papa!’ and he was so nice to say no problem and was very kind and gracious to put the inscription in a cake box, complete with a gold backing, and had candles packed nicely for me too! I was so appreciative of his gesture and my family too was so touched by his kindness. Needless to say, my Papa was very happy with his Radish Cake! Always a pleasure to get our cakes from Charles. So so yummy. Please do not hesitate to try them! The Black Forest Cake is overflowing with black cherries and chocolate! One piece is not enough, you will ask for another, same for the Radish Cake.
