Daburu

Very value for money dishes. I love the bun dishes, they were great. Ordered the lamb and spaghetti combo, did not regret. Lovely concept and great dishes! The hawker centre here is quite hipster, and the second floor of the hawker centre offers more "hipster" type of dishes to attract the young. One of the cleanest hawker centres around Singapore.

𝐃𝐮𝐨 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 $𝟏𝟏.𝟓𝟎 ⁣ Both proteins are in small and thin portions. Salmon tastes too salty, whereas chicken tastes better. The noodles are bland, and it tastes more like a thick yellow mee with tomato sauce. It should be noted that they may not adhere to operating hours. The website states that the store is open until 2.30 p.m. However, they closed their doors at 1.55 p.m.

The shop is not open regularly, and the prices are rather high, hence my first impression of Daburu was not very good. Hawkers who are slow are either trying to get a queue line to attract people, or they take time to grill to perfection. In this case, Daburuis the latter. Though they really do move a tad slow for a pair of young lads... The chicken chop is not bad; the sliced pork belly is really their ace. The moment your knife touches the meat you instantly know you are in for a treat. The blade falls right into the tender pork like tofu. The fat melts right in your mouth, giving the meat an extra layer of savoury taste. This dish reminds me of Bali's legendary Naughty Nuri's. The sides are meh at best, though I admire the bravery of offering mass cooked spaghetti as a side. Get the buttered corn and fried egg, and skip their starch IMO.

Not bad la. The food is served piping hot and sizzling. The chicken is very well marinated and tasty. Prolly the only reason I gave it 4 stars was that I found the pasta sauce and the brown sauce to be too sweet, I felt it needed a spice/pepper/sour element just to balance the whole dish out. Nonetheless, it is pretty good

The queue can be long but after placing your order, you get your food quite fast. They’re very organised & efficient, with friendly service! Highly recommend to add a sunny side up ($0.80 I think) to your plate so that you can dip the meat in the runny yolk. Chicken was perfect. Juicy, tasty & went well with the rice. Beef was good too. Pasta was yummier than expected. Would love to try their salmon one day. Portions were generous & prices very reasonable. Sides & sauce were good - ate it all. Overall just a fantastic meal from Daburu, was super full & satisfied. Reminds me of pepper lunch with the hot plate, corn & brown sauce, but I like this shop much better. Appreciated the cleanliness of the shop too! Cutleries and crockery all super clean. Yay! Will come back again (Apologies - took picture of menu after they closed & switched off the light)

I'm most impressed by the level of service and cleanliness and organization showed by a humble hawker stall! It's really cafe grade. Made it really enjoyable. Food: delicious chicken chop set with tomatoey noodles. Great taste and value. Ambience: I love the breezy and open space overlooking the park. Service: polite, good payment options, easy to read menu. Good job! 👍 Bonus it was a fast and easy payment using my Google Pay app

The chicken chop is value for money. Meat was still moist and succulent. Rice was flavourful as well. I love the addition of the sunny side up as the runny yolk gave extra flavour on top of the other components. Owners were friendly and approachable and that translate to the food they served as well.
