It's a nice down to earth estate. With many old folks and people gathering around table for their lunch chat. It's clean and quite convenient for the elderly to move around.

1 of the cheapest teochew porridge you can find in town. My wife and myself had braised duck, spicy small prawns, 2 types of vegetables, a pork dish and 2 porridge. It comes out to only $11!!!!!!

WELL to Begin With Tiong Bahru Orchid Has Been With HDB For Almost A Decade or Maybe Around 50years or So. Its A Residential Area Made Up of Rental Flats for The Poor n Elderly.

High rise residential area for Singaporean on 99 year lease. MRT metro and bus stop near by. Newspaper are available here. In some of the ground floor blocks you will find ready to eat snacks. Apartment build quality, air and water quality is very good. Lot of area for kids to play and for adult to stroll.

There a small garden with small coffee shop serving a few varieties of food. It has 2 beauty salons and a muslim-owned bubble tea.

This is where my age mother putting up there. I use to visit her almost every Sunday. But the area there is really bad do many of those young people just hanging around everyday. I don't really like the place but l had no other choice because my mother is staying there.
