Order 2 sets. The beef rendang is good. The sides not worth it. The Assam fish is so so only. Cashier not familiar with modes of payment. All items come in small portions. Overall still ok, but unlikely to come again for lunch or dinner. May try the afternoon tea promo thing with a drink and a kuei.

I waited for about 20 minutes for my food. There were about 6-7 customers and they were eating their food. Slow preparation. I ordered a Assam fish set and a ala carte sambal sotong. The ala carte sotong tasted bland. Well to be fair, it was only salty and spicy. No fragrance whatsoever. The Assam fish tasted slightly better but the fish was kind of ‘hard’. Most likely frozen fish. If you like small portion meals, this place is up your alley because the food they served is really in small bowls. It was my first and also my last to visit this establishment.

This outlet at Thomson Plaza serves near authentic peranakan dishes. The Udang Asam Nanas with two large prawns and spicy gravy is good. The Sambal sotong and gravy is just as delicious and adds to spicing up your appetite. The coconut sago pudding desert is pleasantly surprise. Their barley and lemon grass warm drinks is off the taste though. Overall, good.

Situated on the 2nd floor of Thomson Plaza, this eatery sells, obviously, peranakan food. While the food is generally ok, I find that their curry chicken and sayur lodeh to be a little sour. The Bakwan Kepiting Soup is milky, also not what I'm used to. If you fancy trying nonya food with a twist, perhaps you can check out the place. If you're more used to the usual peranakan food, then you'll be better off going to Ivin's or Blue Ginger.

Mediocre overpriced peranakan food, look at the chendol's ice. It's half a dome and hard as a rock. Guess it's preshaped and dropped into the coconut milk with every order? Food is served cold also. Chendol is served together with mains so instead of having it as a dessert, by the time we finished our mains, it became a chendol drink lol The stir fried meesiam is freaking spicy with tons of dried omelette and taopok at the top so it's very dry to eat. And already had stomachache twice after eating this. Never coming here again 😪

We has desserts, a cold chendol, a cold bobo chacha (both $1.80 ea), and a slice of Pandan kaya cake ($3.80 a slice). Nothing fancy, simple desserts at affordable prices.

Was disappointed with the lack of care in the food. Fish in the assam fish was uncooked. They then asked us to switch it to squid as "squid cooks quicker". Chicken buah keluak was the best of the lot altho the chicken was dry and buah keluak looked like it had been microwaved then chucked into the sauce. The worst food item was the chincalok omelette which came stone cold. When I asked about it, they said it was already pre-cooked (I suppose so that they can use it for the customers who order sets). Nothing enjoyable about biting into a rubbery cold piece of egg. The chendol and durian pengag were ok altho the pengat looked like someone had eaten off my bowl and then served me with the same bowl. In general there was just a lack of care towards the food so I will not be back again.
