Decent Japanese cuisine. Only like the udon. Soup is well flavoured and like texture of the udon. Shashimi is normal but a bit pricey? Chicken Karage is normal too, but, it comes with the set. Probably there are too many Japanese restaurants in the last decades and I do not know how to appreciate this kind of old school?

I worked at Hotel Miramar when they opened in 1971 but never eat Japanese as it was expensive those time. Eaten many times when they moved to Outram Park HDB Housing Estate. Sad they will be closing this month. Good food with authentic atmosphere. Visit it if you can but don't expect quick service because they are like a small local eatery in a small back lane or small town in Japan. Go for the udon which is so nicely texture and the delicious broth.

Very traditional Japanese. Back to.the old days of first few Japanese restaurant in Singapore. Totally relaxing n cosy. Service n food is good. Chef skills are good too. Drop a coin for panda box. Dinner time is not so crowded so I used Groupon.

1h 20 minute wait for a bowl of decent udon, but dry yakiniku. Ambience is great. If you're hoping to try their beef dishes, do go for the sukiyaki instead.

A little skokudo/izakaya tucked away in a quiet corner of International Plaza. Set up of the diner is pretty low key and unpretentious but authentic as Japanese expats from local offices stream in (nodding to your choice of an authentic Jap eatery).
I'm recommended to the udon by a colleague. The udon was indeed good textured. Right amount of chew and smoothness, along with a slurp of balanced-flavoured soup broth. Udon portion is quite generous. The beef has good marination to accompany the udon. A small side of chawanmushi is satisfying enough. This udon set is at $16.50++, served w green tea. Choice of udon with a side of beef/ prawn tempura/croquette/ chicken karage of your choice.
This is a satisfying udon fix.

The decor of the place makes you feel like you're in Japan.
Very comfy little japanese eatery with peaceful vibes, cheap beer(sapporo) and decent food.
Visited by many Japanese expats which adds on to the teleported to Japan illusion.
Had the Shio grilled salmon and Zarusoba noodles.
Salmon was a little overcooked on the outside but just right on the inside. Zarusoba was 👍
Overall a satisfactory experience and a return is anticipated.

Regular lunch time Japanese restaurant I've been visiting for over 10 years. Authentic izakaya style place that attracts Japanese workers on Anson Road.

The best udon I’ve ever had in my life! Love the porridge as well. Other dishes did not disappoint either. Pity they are closing in Jan
