My intention was to grab a simple dinner nearby Kim Tian Rd since I’m there. Saw this restaurant by the road side so decided to just eat and go. Surprisingly the food is AMAZING. It’s was very delicious especially the muah chee. Will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!!!

We liked the variety on offer. In addition to bak kut teh, you can find other dishes such as steamed fish, chap chye, fried oyster (orh luak), steamed squid, and mochi (mua chee) in peanut and black sesame. The variety and cosiness of the restaurant makes this a considerable place for a family gathering, but not a very strong option due to the lack of standout dishes.

Bak Ku Teh pepper intense can be customized and I ordered the normal taste. Soup is pretty normal to me but the meat is very tender despite not ordering the prime ribs. Youtiao is a bit lack down as this is the most important side dish to me. Double frying them sometimes kills it. I rather they serve me something not double fried. The dirty oil smell is too strong The preserved vegetable is quite horrible.too watery and disgusting looking (look at my photo) The pig leg is very tender and I will give it a must eat and the sauce or flavour can be improved thou. Lastly, the fried oyster cake is very nice! Is hard to find these type of fried chispy ones now, despite not the best I ate (and is oily), I recommand this dish. Too bad Swa Tow at Toa Payoh don't serve the crispy (not oily) ones anymore, which is the best in Singapore.

I love all Ba Kuh Teh and really enjoyed my premium bowl. However as a tourist I cannot say my palate is all that discerning. I also ordered a Kang Kong vegetable dish (very nice), meshua noodles (ok), the egg omelette (so so a bit oily), and an Aiyu jelly drink. Definitely too much for one person… 😅

The Bak Ku Teh Xiao Long Bao taste really unique. Recommend everyone to try. The food serving is super fast. The Crispy Orh Luah is also a must try.

4 Dec: Came here again for lunch. I ordered the fried you tiao mixed kidney liver and spare ribs soup. Still as nice. Soup quite addictive. Abit thirsty after. Restaurant is just on the ground floor at the HDB flat. Flavourful soup and tender meat. Love the crispy you tiao. Comfort food anytime. You can ask for soup refill too.

Good service, reasonable priced. Pork Ribs soup is comparable to major brand. Braised pork rice is good and the egg cook to perfection . Lot's of option to choose from.
