I have been to this place many times. The ambience is ok to work, and the food is not great for the price we pay. All their female staffs are great, and very welcoming. However I found one older male staff to be bit unfriendly most of the times. After several instances I decided today would be the last time I go to this place - I ordered Hazelnut cappuccino and ham and cheese croissant take away- they dint not even heat it properly, and the whole thing tasted like 3 days old. There are better places with great coffees and food for reasonable price nearby.

Nice little cafe that serves a good range of breakfast dishes, mains, pastries and cakes. Service is friendly though sometimes the place seems short handed and the food takes a while to come. Really like the Hawaiian pizza and some of the sandwiches like the avocado open face. The tiramisu and carrot cakes are also really good. Comparatively, food wise, the Killiney branch is probably a little better. But price wise, fairly decent value for money.

Ordered deliveroo for 2 tarts and an eclair and all of these arrived looking extremely stale and old. Tasted like it was unsold pastries from 5 days ago. The eclair was made upside down, with the chocolate on the base instead of the top. And it was hard and stiff like cardboard. Couldnt eat it at all. To the staff at this outlet, please don’t sell old pastries to customers. It’s not even slightly fresh. It’s definitely very old.

Great cafe option for Balestier and has the ALT pizza shop attached to it. ABC has decent selection of pastries, cakes and breads. But the warm food selection is also quite good and coffees are okay. Tried the open avocado bacon sandwich that comes with scrambled eggs and sautéed mushrooms this morning. And must say, well very good. Everything works well together and has good flavor! Recommended for a well balanced brunch dish, that’s not overly heavy. My friend ordered the salmon salad and impressed that it’s available at 10am! Very decent portion for $14. A reasonable piece of grilled salmon sitting on top a bed of salad mixed with quinoa, beetroot, corn, tomatoes and greens. Good dish but the fresh corn needs to be cut properly as it came with parts of the stalk making it inedible. Or just ask without corn! Daughter had the kids breakfast which came with scrambled eggs, two sausages and a hash brown with toast. The price of $8 comes with a kid’s drink made it quite good value. As for ALT pizzas, we’ve never dined in but delivery. Okay pizzas but super slow, considering they only make pizzas. Expect about 45-60 minute wait for delivery. Instagram @iambruisedlee

Nice place. Friendly staff and efficient service. Pastries are very nice. Pancakes are awful — sad to say. Presentation nice and the fruit was fresh. That’s the only good news about them. The bad news is that the pancakes were overly dry and too crumbly pick up with a fork without falling apart. I would suggest they try one of the many excellent recipes on the internet. Certainly for S$14.9 I expected much better.

A very welcome new addition to Balestier Road where there really aren’t similar concepts close by. Great coffee, good options for breakfast and lunch. High quality in food but a bit pricy for the neighborhood yet still a good western style addition to the otherwise very local mix. Cozy inside, perfect for a quick business meeting.

Good food and breakfast menu but bad service. Excited also to see ABC @ Balestier! A great place for breakfast and to bring the kids. Also the fact that is connected with ALT PIZZA makes it a perfect place to bring the little kids. The food is good as per abc standards but the service is always bad, Singapore standard. If you ask for a glass of milk for the kids they tell you they don't serve milk alone until you manage to tell them charge me whatever you want (a latte, a cappuccino,...) But just give me milk. Also they usually miss something in the order or they don't take the order. Every time we've been there they missed something or got something wrong
