Friends And Company

I want to give a shout out to the good people that own and work at Bistro at Friends and Company. They turned my screwed up day around into a wonderful night. I will be going back again. I went from top of the stress & anxiety meter to zero stress & anxiety and full of joy thanks to this place (The Bistro) and the good people that work and own this place. If anyone is the Spartanburg area, stop in and check them out. They told me that they have special nights like a comedy night and a relaxing jazz night for instance. And there are times they even have a hard rock night, the one person working there told me. These are just some of the examples I was told of for events and special nights they have. Different crowds for different types of nights I am told too. It's very nice setup inside, with a small deck outside in front that is nice (when not raining, lol). The photo at the website is nice but even more nice to see it in person (and when the sun has set). The food is fresh, like from the garden type fresh, you know and homemade. Like the dressing on my salad was not bottle crap but made themselves (Caesar was what I had) and the ingredients of the salad were fresh chopped. If you want wine, liquor or beer, they have a selection for that as well. I wish they carried some craft type beers but there's a decent selection of what many places usually have with beer, which is a good selection for the average person around here. If you go to this place, you can get on their email list if you like to be notified of happenings there. I signed up while in there but you may have to ask about it. They aren't the type to bug you but will be friendly and welcoming, even to someone like me, lol. If you know where Cohens is on West Main Street, it's right beside it, just down from RJ Rockers (which was the old Salvation Army building) but on the other side of the railroad tracks and other side of the road. Like I said prior, I will be going back. The food was great, the place was very nice, clean, etc and it had a pleasant atmosphere. The waitress lady that served me was great and I wish I could remember her name but I can say if you get her, you will be taken care of in a way that you wish other wait staff people at other businesses would take lessons from and she's a genuine type person too that's just friendly and easy to talk to. I met briefly the owner's wife and she was nice and I would imagine anyone else working there is going to be the same as them. I didn't know what to expect when I went in and left feeling much different than how I did before I went in. Oh, while I just had a salad (was quite good), I did see another dish that's about to be added to the menu and it smelled and looked mouth watering. The food is quality. Just a great place from my first impression tonight.
