Barcelos Flame Grilled Chicken

Very hit and miss with this place when it comes to take out. We ordered 2 whole chickens but they definitely put old pieces of chicken in with fresh pieces. The old pieces are dry and impossible to bite through. So disappointed. The old chicken is darker in color and burnt from being re heated on the grill several times.

Second time we’ve tried Barcelos, first time was in Langley and they were both good. We got the Jumbo pack with rice and a burger with peri fries. Everything was good and fresh. Fries were a bit under seasoned for my liking and the wings seem to be bit too much on the burnt side but they were still tasty. Best part with the burger was the soft bun. The whole check looks small so maybe they use a free range chicken? Really liked the rice. In general everyone liked it for lunch. We were so hungry we ate everything before we took pictures!

Really disappointed in them. I always order from the King George branch. In takeout package they put some of stale pieces in the box with some fresh one. First time we started our dinner and found old chicken piece beneath the fresh ones. But we ignored. Then i happened Second time in a row and we reported right away. There was manager named Simrat at that time and she accepted and replaced the whole order right away. It happened to us three times now. We called again to report that some of the pieces are stale not all fresh definitely reused because the chicken skin was not over grilled but chewy like it has been regrilled. And we sent pictures too. But the new manager now says its all fresh and lame excuses. We did not wanted any refund or something but we were ready to replace right away but he did not listen to us. They definitely need some food handling training. Old chicken could be hazardous. Always check all pieces before starting your meal. There could be old chicken pieces in your takeout box.

I went there on Friday around 6:30 pm only 1 table was occupied but still we were setting on the booth for 20 minutes but the server never came to take order and i went to the counter my self finally to give my order and when we got the Food there was no cutlery to eat with after 10 to 15 minutes we got the cutlery after the reminder. Food was good, but Service was pathetic 😒. Management should trained the staff about how to prioritize the work.

This place uses to be good but the last few times we ordered from them, the pieces weren't good at all ! We always order a bunch of double leg meals and the thigh wasn't even a thigh it was some weird piece that looked like the back of the chicken not the thigh even. And the chicken tasted old and not fresh at all. Very disappointing.
