Dim sum is really good and authentic here. Lots of your traditional faves. Order from a check list menu, no carts.
Service is better than your typical authentic Chinese restaurant, they actually refill your water, say hello and you're welcome, very pleasant to interact with.
No frills ambiance, your standard hole in the wall chinese spot serving great food. A little sticky, a little run down, but totally tasty food.
Their roast pork and roast duck are delicious and a must for Chinese/vietnamese special occasions.
Be forewarned - while everything is super tasty, it's probably because they use a good amount of MSG. MSG is a natural compound found in tomatoes and literally every food so I'm not one of those anti-MSGers. But the amount in their food will put you out to bed in 20 mins or less and you'll do absolutely nothing productive after lol! It's like Thanksgiving food coma.

Beyond amazing Chinese food! If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food, you need to come here without question. Frog legs, chicken feet, roast duck, dim sums! I could go on an on about the menu! Massive selection of items that you’d be foolish not to order multiple dishes here. Come hungry and bring friends! The staff is exceptionally friendly. You’ll need to do several visits just to get a small sampling of everything they have. Absolute must visit if you’re in Tampa!

A hidden GEM. This place serves the most delicious authentic Chinese food that I've ever had.
We end up ordering too much food everytime and leave with leftovers because every dish we try is AMAZING.
CANNOT recommend this place enough. In an old strip mall, kind of an 80s vibe inside but the FOOD, it is the BEST.
Generals chicken, sliced chicken with Chinese vegetables, Curry chicken, snow pea tips to name a few. Amazing 👏

The Peking Duck is the best in town! And the price is reasonable. The atmosphere is so so. But we come here for the authentic Chinese food, right? We will come back next time for lunch so we can try their dim sum.

We have never seen a Chinese restaurant with a wider variety than China Yuan. We decided to order items we can't find elsewhere, like Hong Kong frog and abalone and sea cucumber soup. Everything tasted great. I could try twenty different menu items and still have plenty more to try. They offer dim sum in the afternoon, along with their extensive menu. The service was prompt and friendly as well.

I have another 5 star review but I have to say I'm disappointed so bad. My mother in law brought me home shrimp fried rice and it was so awful!!! It tasted burnt,plain and odd. The shrimp were dry no seasoning you could tell they thawed them and thew them in. Disgusting. Really need to do much better!!!

An incredible find. Restaurant was very clean and service was stellar. We started off with crispy pork, sautéed eggplant in garlic sauce and for mains steamed flounder in a garlic ginger sauce and house special hot pot which came with seafood (scallop, shrimp, squid), chicken, pork and tofu with vegetables and side of white rice. Everything is reasonably priced especially the entire fish and food came out quick. Will be back for sure!

A regular stop when wanting delicious Chinese food. Also love their Dim Sum for lunch. Saw the owner of Circles dining at China Yuan on Easter Sunday. I patronize both.

Love this spot. A recent discovery. Exceptional meal, and I saw and chatted with a Chinese couple and their young daughter I recognize from dining at Ho Ho Choy. Came for dinner and had egg drop soup & mu shu pork with 6 rice pancakes. Note egg drop soup is small but its enoumous, took half home. The food is terrific. On Easter Sunday chatted with the owner of Circles in Carrollwood.

First time! We did take out. 3 meals, dim sum and soup. Came out to $54. I would’ve given 5 stars but they forgot the rice on two of our meals even though i asked several times for rice but only one of our meals got rice. They offered to give us rice but we love an hour away and weren’t going to drive back for rice. The food was flavorful, made fresh.
we ordered the roast duck and chicken; it Juicy yet crispy, Full of flavor. The general Saos chicken, which has a little kick to it and it’s so good! the sauce was just right. We also ordered the short ribs which were good it was just missing something. Either way i’d order it again. The dim sum came with three dumplings, no sauce which would’ve made them a 10/10 still good really flavorful. and the soup, we ordered the roast duck noodles, the broth was delicious and everything came together nicely! will absolutely be coming back.
