Wait time was a little longer than expected, but it was totally worth the wait,

The sweet potato cornbread is the BEST I’ve ever had! The red velvet cake .. superb! The rib platter my husband had was SUPERB! ( Mac n cheese and black eye peas) I LOVE MAMA’s Soul food in Brandon. I will be going back WEEKLY! Keep up the good work!❤️😘

Everything was Well Seasoned, cooked to perfection, hot and Fresh. The cornbread was a little overcooked but in the middle it was moist and fresh ! See picture !

I don’t know about atmosphere… we got delivery… two appetizer orders of gizzards and two of livers and one corn fritter order.
Gizzards and Livers were excellent and will order again in future. We literally got 5 ea corn fritters in the appetizer order! Uber wanted me to upload a picture for proof of quantity which in theory is RIDICULOUS so I am forced to explain our displeasure here.

I happened to be near the area, so the wife and I went for lunch. I had the meatloaf with rice, gravy, mac, beans corn bread. It was all delicious. The wife had wings, collards and corn bread. We found this little mom & pop shop like a diamond in the rough. We will definitely eat there again. Thank you for a great experience.

I absolutely love some soul food!!! I choose this place because I really wanted to support and have a good dinner…The dinner I got from here was trash! I literally had to throw the fish that came with my meal in the garbage. I ordered the fish and shrimp dinner with mac and Yams. The sides were delish. The fish tasted old or like it was left out for hours, took one bite started to feel sick, so I trashed it. The shrimp was like someone put it in hot grease for 3 seconds and put it in the container. I had to cook the shrimp in the air fryer. I am going to 5 star everything except the food.

My husband and I went there. I ordered the chicken gizzards meal and my husband ordered hog mauls. The food was delicious. We ate everything.

Nice home cooking and wonderful staff. Excellent ambient jazz music playing softly while I dined. The chicken was not overcooked and the portions were just right.
