Kansar Kathiyawadi Thali Restaurant

I recently tried Kansar Kathiyawadi Thali on the expressway and quite enjoyed the food. The food wasn't very spicy which is a good thing. I liked a few things a lot like the aloo sabji, paneer sabji and the samosa in the shape of a chilli. The food is good overall. However, I would have loved more Kathiyawadi sabjis like sev tameta , baingan bharta or lasaniya bateta etc. None the less, it was tasty. The service could have been better, more attentive staff. Overall a good place to try.

Not my first time here and definitely not last!!! Awesome place for truly unlimited thali. Serve 2-4 types of indian breads like Puri, roti, Paratha and bajra rotla. Undhiyu is served in winter. Service is quick and starts right the moment you sit at the table. Very warm friendly and polite staff. Don't miss it while traveling from Thane or Gujarat towards Mumbai.

One of the best places for gujrati, marwari thali. Best time to go os any time of the week. Lunch starts at 12 noon and is available till 3:30 pm. Dinner is from 7 pm to 11 pm. Staff is very friendly. Sunday is their busiest day ( I guess) and there is 15 to 20 mins of waiting time if you reach after 1:30pm ( for lunch). I had gone today and the menu had Rasmalai, moong dal halwa, Corn rolls and Patra( didn't try the Patra) Paneer sabji( superb taste) Dum aloo ( the best dish today) Bhindi ( was pretty good) Dahi fried chawli( beans) Roti, poori Dal, kadhi, sweet dal and rice ( rice was superb) 4 types of pickles ( all good) Papad, chaas All unlimited and very well made with good ingredients. I think I paid 740/- ( or 760/-) for 2. My date for the day ( my mom) loved it and have full marks ( mission successful , Paisa vasool) This is a very well run and managed place ( well oiled mechanism) definitely a go if you crave for good soul food.

Food Dignify Cultures. India being a land of cultural diversity, we are extremely lucky to have varieties of dishes that cooked as per specific region. Though one dish originates in one state will enchant you by unique taste in different states, that's something which hold us together. @expressinnthane I always devour and get myself same feeling to it. My review follows. Fluffy and airy dhokla, little sweet started great with contrasting Samosa which contained mashed potato vegetables had spice to it. In Mains first time in rare I had Shahi Paneer Rajasthani which was surprisingly spicy though I thought it was sweet by looking at its color. Had strong clove flavor to it. Besan gatta - one of my favorite, the gravy made in curd, tadka was appropriate, red color layer, small little chopped besan balls soaked nicely in gravy. Haldi ki Sabji - One of my favorite and most popular during winter season. Extremely healthy as it contains mashed turmeric (not powder) and mix veggies. Feel of pure ghee, spicy, but delicious. Hariyali Dum Aloo - Again unique combination, green color gravy may be some spinach contains in it, not sweet but starchy potato will makes it for you. Had garlic too which was even used in Haldi ki Sabji but not too strong. Baati was chopped and I sinked in Dal, became soft at last, add some kadhi to it (sweet or spicy depends on your taste). I liked sabjis so much as I finished all by eating with spoon. I had had couple of bites of Rice and Khichadi Kadhi Papad - must try combination. Game Changing Desserts. Paneer Kheer - Very thick, rich, dry fruits in it, cardamom, extremely flavorful. Not too sweet that's why I would recommend it to refill as much as you want just I did. 😆 Tiranga Malai Sandwich was extremely soft, stuffing (cream) was sweet thought. Ditto with Rajbhog but had well cardamom flavor to it. I mixed these sweets in Paneer Kheer and I was in Ecstacy. Desserts what made my entire meal experience was fabulous note. Service was quick, rotis were soft too. I loved there unique preparations, style, menu keeps changing. Visit on weekends for more delightful options. These special occasions always makes me delighted. 😀

Unlimited thali with many varieties 3 types of roti, 4 types of sabji, sweet, Chass, salad, dhokla, kachori, etc many more can't describe. Complete package. If ur planing to have a pure vegetarian dinner then only prefer this hotels it's literally very good in taste but it's taste will only identify if ur vegetarian then.... If ur a non vegetarian please dont visit... It's very special dishes provide it's mainly from gujarati and Rajasthani thali per thali cost is 340₹ per person . every vegetarian should visit and prefer this hotel best place for family. Hotel has huge space for parking evening for spending time at night exactly it's beside fountain hotel... The hotel is named as Express Inn.

The food, Ambience and taste is good! We went for lunch and ordered thali plate which was ₹350/- per plate. The taste was amazing! Especially Paneer, dal, kadi, salad and the sweets(kheer and rabdi 😍😋😋). I would say it was like unlimited food as the servers were coming in between and asking if we needed roti, rice or anything else. People traveling towards Gujarat or traveling through the highway must take a stop here and have lunch. Would recommend if you are with your family!! 👍🏻👍🏻

This place is famous for Gujrati unlimited thali. Everything you eat is unlimited whether it sweet or starter. Meal is really tasty and good. Roti, Bajra roti, Paratha are good. Dry & Gravy veggies are Okay. Sweet has a great taste here. Kadhi & Dal are excellent. Khichdi, Rice are awesome. Starters like Dhokla, Samosa are too good. @Hotel management- please have a variation in Dal, Kadhi, khichdi and rice. Also improve taste of all vegetables you serve.
