Troy Family Dining

It was a slow afternoon/evening. We arrived at about 4:15 pm. The waitress was prompt and kind. The food quality was mediocre. I ordered the Gyro and it was fairly sad in presentation. The meat was dry around the edges and the pita was fairly hard. The cucumber sauce was on the side and while smelled good, it didn't hit the flavor palette well. The prices are a bit steep. Granted the last time we were there was late 2019 or early 2020 and times have changed.

Never been here before. Was in town for 5he weekend. Stopped in hoping for a good breakfast and coffee. We walked in and couldn't see any staff. Wasn't sure if we seated ourselves or needed to wait to be seated. Walked up the weired "hallway" until we made it to the "front" where we stood watching wait staff avoid us on their phones behind the counter and doing whatever else. A gentleman server finally greeted us and told us to have a seat, we went to sit down and the table was dirty. Finally found a clean table and got seated. Ordered coffee and water. The coffee was awful. Tasted stale and burnt. I ended up ordering just 1 biscuit and gravy. It wasn't bad. Took a bit to get our check. Wasn't sure how we were supposed to pay so I left cash and walked out. Short staffed or not. Customer service is customer service. Having worked in the serving industry. I felt they were lazy and miss managed. Good luck

Took my mother in law for lunch for Mothers Day 2021!!! Best coffee, food and service by Jen. Loved every bit of it!! We hadnt gone out to eat since 2019!! Definitely coming back again real soon!! Thank you Troy Family Restaurant!!! BEST BISCUITS AND GRAVY AROUND!!!!!! June 2022 the waitresses have changed but nothing else. Still my favorite local restaurant. I go there often.

This is your typical family restaurant. A place that you would be glad to visit with your kids, or grandparents. The food is actually quite a bit above average for a family restaurant depending on your selection, which is great. Speedy and friendly service makes the whole thing two times better. The atmosphere is pretty lacking, and the place is kind of dead. The decor isnt fancy, but it doesn’t really matter. Overall, its good!
