Midtown Bistro

This place is slept on. I mean not really because it has such high ratings and so many reviews. But it's a restaurant I found valuable. I definitely feel like they deserve a 5/5. Their service is friendly and prompt. They offer takeout and dine in services. I found it very convenient to order by text. You can pay by e transfer, credit, debit or cash. Their food is amazing in that it's well made and carefully created. They don't overload..their small menu reflects their commitment to serving quality dishes. Parking is street parking (paid) Caper chicken is fantastic. The vegetables were well seared, buttered and salted. Chicken breast was juicy. Mash potatoes mild and not over salted. The sauce had little tomatoes and capers in it. The picture I took doesn't show the tomatoes because they were still in the sauce cup. Hot beef sandwich was good. I liked the caramelized onions! The beef was a bit too salty for my taste. Pear and goat cheese salad was yummy. I liked the sauce and slices of fig. Everything came together well. I would recommend this place and/or come back when I'm in town. They have new owners. Keep the amazing chefs and staff!

FOOD was absolutely amazing and loved it however I work in the restaurant industry and it was a bit chaotic. The servers were trying their best but seemed a bit overwhelmed. They gentlemen who was there was very ignorant and rude. It took us half an hour to eat after recieving our food (we have children ,so it's not a quick eat and leave. ) He asked our table to hurry up and leave because other customers needed our table. I have never had that in the hospitality industry and am appalled by this service, then they tried to overcharge for drinks which we had to go over with them, charged us for an extra wrap that we didnt order so had to correct that and then the bacon jam was never put on the sliders so had to ask about that ,and was made to feel like it was an inconvenience to even ask. Once again the food was amazing but I find the staff to be lacking and need better customer service .

The best pulled pork we’ve ever had, and served on fresh, buttery, in-house-baked buns. Amazing pear and goat cheese salad. Delicious and thoughtful cocktails. Very reasonable prices. Very friendly and thoughtful server tonight. Cozy evening establishment overall - only wish they were open later to hang out with friends after work. We will definitely be back. :)

My husband and I enjoy this tiny restaurant in Vernon for a couples night out. While their menu is somewhat limited - the food is always fresh and tasty. The staff are very friendly and the service is very efficient. Chairs are comfortable and tables well spaced. I have to admit, I have a real weakness for their pot roast and their carrot cake…. Yum!!!!! At one point we will definitely try their charcuterie board.
