Jade Garden

My family's been coming here for the last two decades, maybe longer. In the last 10 years it has gotten progressively worse way overpriced when everything seems to have been boiled or steamed so that it tastes the same. Very bland and unflavorful. They're spicy stuff isn't even that flavorful and doesn't have any spice above the level of pepper. Very rude over the phone and in the restaurant. Way overpriced for the convenience store level of food quality and half the amounts of other Asian restaurants.

We moved to the neighborhood recently and thought we'd give this place a try. The food wasn't bad, but it also wasn't good. I think its probably on par with Safeway's hot bar Chinese food. My husband and I have been to Asia many times and thought this was very mild and bland compared to what we expected. It's a shame because the location can't be better.

Me and my family have gone here since the 1990’s and it’s possibly the best Chinese food in Walnut Creek. The service was really good tonight and the food was excellent. No complaints. It’s interior is widely unchanged from when I was a little boy and would look at the Koi pond. Thanks Jade Garden for being such a great community business and gathering place and growing with our families.

I have been coming here for years. It Is a wonderful family owned restaurant. It is very clean, the food is excellent (the chef is the owner) and the service is no less than perfect (the main server is the wife, owner.) The servers dress in Chinese dress, the interior of this local shopping center restaurant is decorated with beautiful Chinese paintings, and hanging lanterns and has traditional Chinese music playing (or something nice.) There is even a small fish pond with running water. The owners and their help are happy to see their customers return. They have really tasty dishes. It is a simple but very pleasant place to have dinner. They also have a very busy lunch business and a great lunch menu. I have taken many friends and family members to sample this local restaurant's food and everyone of them has been impressed by how good it tastes. My wife and I have returned there for years because the food, the service and the decor provide a really nice experience. I’ve dined in fancy restaurants all over the country. We don’t go to Jade Garden for fancy. We go there to relax, have some wine and Chinese beer, enjoy the food and the service.
