Villa Madina

I got combo number 10.. 2 salads and vine leaves ... the salads were horrible .. bland .. tasteless and nothing what I am used to having! The tabouleh salad and cabbage salad both were stale and truly a disappointing experience! I Especially made o the trip to have the salad but to my disappointment this is what I get! Truly disgusting. And this went into the garbage! What a waste of money.

I’m surprised to see so many bad reviews about the service. I’ve been here several times and I’ve always had a great experience. All of the people who served me were always nice. I rarely eat meat at fast food places, but their chicken shawarma plate is honestly fantastic. The portions are big enough for two people to share. I’ve recently developed a taste for their hot sauce. It’s suuuper spicy (in the opinion of a spicy intolerant person) but it’s delicious in small amounts (I ask for it on the side). This is my favourite place to eat at the mall, so I would recommend you give it a try!

Under new management, the chicken shawarma and potato is lacking any flavour or spice now, before they packed the potato's with garlic and spices. The sauces were homemade and the perfect amount of heat, now it's very weak. The customer service is okay, they are very quiet. I do miss the older couple that ran villa Madina before with their family. They always asked how I was doing even if I was just grabbing a coffee from Tim's. I will try the chicken shawarma plate again in the future but It won't be for while.

I don't understand all of the bad reviews. This highly underrated little gem of a restaurant is the absolute favourite place in Waterloo, Ontario for my fiancee and myself to eat. My fiancee and I have been there multiple times, and the owners have been very friendly(especially the older lady who cooks the food, she is extremely kind)and accommodating. The food is absolutely delicious, some of the best food of any type that we've ever eaten. Every single dish tastes homemade with love and balance. I am baffled by the negative reviews. I am excited every single time I have the privilege of eating at Villa Madina. I pray this place never closes.

Honestly, I have been eating here for years. I would disregard any negative reviews; the owners are some of the kindest people I have met since the time I worked at Tim Hortons, next door! From personal experience I will confirm that if you need something - just ask! - they will be glad to give you extra sauce, or hummus, or fix anything that you may have a problem with... although it is highly unlikely; because the staff always gets my order right the first time! Now the food is another story; convenient, delicious, fresh... what more could you ask for? Definitely some of the best service in this food court.
